  1. Nashville is 2 hrs drive via I-40 (If no wrecks) for those who might be coming from that direction. Will be another great match, Look for 10 stages with one by the Diabolical Hopalong Designed to where a smoking run with a wheelgun will be pretty close to a smoking run with a bottom feeder (they HATE that !!!!). Several wheelgunners around that should be able to attend (MS, AR, KY) if they are contacted. HOP But Cliff...............I was thinking you'd bring that bottom feeder so we could have MUCH comedy !!!!!!
  2. Dan won Revo??? What else would you expect from the newest GM in Revo Divison??? Hop
  3. Way to go!!!!!! Will be good to see you at Tulsa, keep your head up it'll be a little tough changing over (this coming from the guy who doesn't shoot the same type gun more than a month now). Hop
  4. Sorry Cliff, I will be in Huntsville Al. at a 3 gun match that weekend. Oh well, I guess I'll see you at Tulsa and then maybe at Ft. Benning. Hop
  5. Sounds good. I'll make sure to mark it down in RED to make sure I don't forget!!!! Hop
  6. Scott, You get ole GMSHOOTER to shoot his and I'll make sure I get there!!!!!! Hop
  7. OOPS, Forgot, you already had the singlestack. You get the new Limited gun yet? Go ahead and bring the single stack any way it'll be funny watching you with one of them. Hop
  8. Hang in there Pat, You'll make it (we hope). Hey Cliff, I see you are signed up for the TN match with a wheel, since Nationals is over why not bring that new .45 single stack and shoot limited 10 with me? Hop
  9. Minor problems............John can do anything he puts his mind to!!! Hop
  10. Well CUZ .............. You finally came around, now just to get a real wheelgun in your hands. Enjoy your new blaster. Hop
  11. Still working on the Belt feed for my 25-2..............not too bad until you have to carry that darn green box every where!!! Hop
  12. You may have to drop a tenth, The magnum just burns longer and maybe a little hotter. It seems I gained about 25 fps when I checked a few years back (going on my memory and it is as long as my hair). Hop
  13. Hi Jane, Been a while since I posted. Progress Is going great!!! You are MILES above me Mentally (notice the above). On the lean............ I used to lean while exiting a position, but for that one reason you point out (mike on the last shot) I no longer lean. I try to blast out of the postition like a sprinter does his starting blocks if Possible, if not I try to leave like I'm on Ice skates......firmly but smoothly but ballanced.......being you are up north where there is ice I think you can understand that. 14. Bout time !!!!! Now for Carmobagger, and baggerkiss !!!!!
  15. I have a scout. I suggest thinning the front sight down to about .050 wide and leaving the rear alone. and after that....................shoot it abunch !!! Bill H. If the SOCOM is anything like the rest (I know the break and gas system is different) the sight is dovetailed onto the break. If it is you should be able to get the NM sight from Brownells. Hop
  16. Northern Extreme, The reason Mike isn't a GM is he's like the guy in California who's nick name is DANBAGGER !!!!! He also intentionally trashes the classifiers that are 100% able (or at least that is what a little birdie told me) Congrats to all, glad the numbers are finally getting up there.........was worried earlier this year though. Hop
  17. Lawman, One is a Bushmaster National Match (CMP edition) It seems the caliber marking is under the handguard as I don't find any stamping on it. but being it is designed for accuracy I'm betting it is .223. The other is a put together thing I have assembled from prize tables and good deals ect. It has a 1-8 twist .223 from Saber defence (marked on the barrel right in front of the gas block) Sure is a shame as I have several thousand 5.56 sitting around begging to be shot...........reason enough for another rifle??????? Hop
  18. OK before you guys pound me into the ground remember I shoot .30 cal stuff !!!!! I do have a couple of .223 chambered ARs (says .223 on both of them) so can I shoot military stuff in them???? I have heard the 5.56 chamber is slightly different than the .223 chamber.......what is different? Or is that BS ? Hopalong
  19. Viggen is right, many ROs' are not used to a revolver getting reloaded.......especially one getting done quickly and correctly when the gun gets pointed up and down to have gravity assist in the loading and reloading. I was warned by the same guy 3 years in a row at A-4, after that third time I took him to the safety area and showed him the two most common reloads for a 625 and told him that gravity is the biggest trick in the reload and why. He then thanked me and said he had no Idea and seeing the gun flipping up and down was different/strange. As far as the going left trying to reload with my right hand (the way I normally load) I usually do it with the left hand to keep from flirting with the 180. Practice both the right and left hand loads, it doesn't hurt to know both. (you might find out you need to do it the other way) Hopalong
  20. I have not and WILL not pay over 500 bucks for a gun I'm going to butcher up to make race ready for USPSA/ICORE/IDPA !!!!! Of the guns I have set up most have been in the 4-500 range. I have one I paid 500 for..........but I'm cheap and don't mind waiting to find the right one!!!! Hopalong
  21. Good for you John !!!!! Glad you got it straightend out. Side note: I have run almost 2000 lead round nose through my 625 before it was too leaded/gunked up to let the loaded moon settle down without any help. You talk about a dirty gun!!!! still use Clays with the lead too, just lead makes so much more smoke and soot Cheaper to buy though Hop
  22. Happy B-day young MR. Walsh!!!! Hop
  23. Booked 2 rooms at the Best Western Airport for Sept 8-13, 2007 Gonna have Chad back this year, and will have Rodney and his Pop. Chad will shoot LTD, and Rodney will shoot PROD. so you can't add any other names to the list...........although Chad has a 625 that is race ready. See you there. Hopalong
  24. Good time to start over......... Last stage of the local club match this weekend went something like this. Nuevo El Pres. Buzzer, first target 2 A, second target 2 A 3rd target N/S Mike, A reload Fist target A/C, second target 2 A, third target A/C "missed" getting the perf by less than half an Inch and getting an A with out the N/S by that much and the bullet width. Would have been an 82% had I shot it clean Oh well, sheet happens. Hop
