  1. My trigger was terrible stock. It was so heavy it maxed out my trigger pull scale. With the GG comp kit it is between 2.5 and 3 lbs depending on where you pull it with the scale. It is worlds better. That said, the reset is not what I would like but I can (and have to) live with it. Coming from Open guns with 1.25lb triggers I tokk about 2k rounds for me to adapt to the SIG trigger. The tungsten guide rod makes a pretty significant difference over steel. I am a huge fan of the SSI tungsten weighted grip and tungsten slug.
  2. Mainspring and FPS have a tremendous amount of effect on how a dot tracks.
  3. your comment at it's most basic flies in the face of physics.
  4. I will try to get some this weekend. I know Max was running this grip at Nats. Sonny Morton too. I think there were several more. There is a big difference between the homemade versions that "got almost 6 oz added" and this one that adds right at 11 oz. It's the same weight added as adding a steel grip to a 2011 over a plastic grip
  5. I can sure as heck tell a difference in this one. Like it's a totally different gun.
  6. Why is the magic number 50? Why is their a restriction on the classifieds at all? caveat emptor and all
  7. Best way to get fast splits is to not care about fast splits. Two years ago I was trying to shoot fast and .17 was as fast as I could go. I gave up on it. Now I can shoot .12-.14 pretty much on demand. In reality, splits ( so long as you can stay .20ish) don't matter much. Work on things that will improve your match performance like transitions, entries and exits.
  8. Interesting. Both of my X5s are tack drivers with the factory barrels. In fact they are THE most accurate factory guns I have ever owned by a significant margin.
  9. Didn't say it is. That is the new style Universal which is just a rebranded holster from Europe.
  10. Too many little springs and widgets in the guga holster for me. I do love the guga mag pouches.
  11. The old style Universal doesn't use round bar. I have one of the new ones also and it does. I prefer the old. I set it up over 2 years ago and haven't done anything to it except blow it out with my air compressor once.
  12. yep. 2 years ago I switched from the racemaster to the universal which is the same design as the Everglades. Superior in ever way to the racemaster
  13. I have both (2)1050s and one Evo Pro. I am a little biased. There is no comparison. The 1050s will be getting replaced with EVOs next year.
  14. Yes. They are a little bit harsher but Shay has them so close in feel many of us have 9 barrels for practice.
  15. Per Shay... 2% full size, 70% middy and 28% shorties for the last year and shortie sales are on dramatic rise
  16. Not really. At Akai every team guys get to shoot what he wants. In all honesty I don't know anyone that is forced to shoot a particular configuration. Thye may have to shoot from their builders catalog but beyond that... This is video filmed yesterday of my 4" commander length gun with titanium comp and 177PF ammo. The new shorties are as flat and many cases flatter than full sized guns. That is why they are growing in popularity . They aren't "soft shooting" by any means. They really hit your hand hard but they pay off in spades with flat trackability and quick handling. I will ask Shay later, but I would be willing to bet 95% or better of the open guns he is building are mid and shorts.
  17. That will be a change. A short or mid gun has won the last 3 for sure.
  18. Not sure who you are watching. Short is in and selling like hotcakes. ESPECIALLY at the top of the food chain.
