  1. It could be even easier than chrono at classifier. Randomly do 1-2 people in each squad @ the classifier. Word will get around. On another note... The 2 foot fireball and deafening report of my open gun with 10.7g of 3n38 kinda goes without saying, is major.
  2. i would like that also, green is more visible to the human eye, and with steel shooting the stop plate is painted red, so it's not easy to see a reddot on a red plate.
  3. i would like that also, green is more visible to the human eye, and with steel shooting the stop plate is painted red, so it's not easy to see a reddot on a red plate. I am really color blind. I would love a color other than red. That is the worst for me. A red fiber optic on a front sight is invisible to me while a green rod looks like it is battery powered. I would love a green Cmore on my open gun.
  4. This is a Cheely mount with a GoGuns. The scope really interferes with my thumb. My preferred grip is like Vogel's, and I cant get my wrist cocked as far forward as I would like. My new gun is being built with a vertical mount to solve this issue.
  5. They also sell steel cases that are a dead ringer for brass cases. Yep those steel cases are the problem, has nothing to do with the primer seating. The steel cases will stick in the chamber after they are fired. I have had this happen three times and all three times S&B cases (case had to be knocked out with a squib rod). And yes they pass the chamber checking just fine. That is easy to prevent. I epoxied a small rare earth magnet to the case drop tube in both of my 1050's. If you attach it directly across from the switch on the case feeder, it will trip the switch and stop the case feeder as it holds the steel case. I can take a pic when I get home if anyone is interested.
  6. I haven't had any problems with wolf 223 SRP in my 2011's. At 16/1k they are a bargin if your gun will run them. I did have to adjust the seating depth on my 1050. The harder cups make them not seat as easily.
  7. 1. Too much spring I run a 7.5# variable 2. Dollars to donuts the bullets are hitting the comp.
  8. Here is my setup... I have a 360 sq/ft building in my back yard. I went with a reloading island made from treated lumber for the extra weight. Powder & Primer Storage: Brass: I keep bullets, media, and misc. under the island on the lower shelf.
  9. There was no manual even for the 1st gen model. There was a manual! I think i still have the manual for the 2nd generation johnnie built. Will go look. i found the manual, scanned it and it's a pdf file. but, it's over 2mb. pm me with yer email and i'll send you a copy. straight up Stud!!! Got the manual! Thanks a bunch. There is actually a tension adjustment. You tap the Derlin block in or out of the body to tighten it up. Makes a big difference.
  10. I hate slide mounted optics. Shot a couple in the last few weeks and they are much harder for me to track. I use a Cheely. I will post some pics as soon as photobucket starts working.
  11. It rained most all day last Sunday at ProAm. I kept a scope coat on my cmore until I went to the line. Pulled it off at LAMR. No problems at all.
  12. That is what I am finding. The gun, while solidly locked in seems very loose. There is a lot of play. Unlocked, it isn't going to come out but it wouldn't take much. It sure is scary when you are used to a CR Speed. I think I am really going to like it once I am comfortable. I just wish Limcat had an owners manual or something.
  13. Thanks for the help. I should have added that I have the newer model. Thanks though!
  14. Can anyone give me the cliff notes on how this thing adjusts? I have called Limcat... voicemail is full. I have e-mail Limcat... No response. There is no documentation I can find anywhere. Thanks in advance. S
  15. I believe you are right. I just thought it would be interesting to shoot a 9 major load out of the exact same gun. That way, I could decide if I wanted to fit a 9mm barrel.
  16. Reason I ask... I decided to make the move to Open this week. I currently have a borrowed Jeff Abernathy 9 Major gun. Jeff is going to build me a Open gun shortly. Everyone I talk to in this area says super comp is the only way to go. I have heard all the arguments for and against 9/38 I am just really undecided. BTW, Jeff says SC.
  17. I have seen a few posts here, and other places on the net that mention shooting 9 Major out of a Super Comp gun. Will this actually work? I assume the round is being held in place by the extractor? It would see that accuracy "should" suck. Thoughts?
  18. For those of you whom use FaceBook, this is a link to the new Jr's team we are sponsoring. Good bunch of kids. They have some pretty strict requirements to be eligible to shoot regarding grades and such. As always they are looking for old gear that anyone isn't using anymore. These kids will be the future of our sport. Lets all give them a "like". https://www.facebook.com/SethsJuniorShootingTeam Thanks, Scott
  19. To clarify what Kyle is looking for, we have a couple jr's that we are taking to the ProAm in July. we are trying to get them rated in IDPA or USPSA before then. Their parents have limited time available and can't let them shoot a match every weekend. They are willing to drive 2-3 hours if necessary to expedite the process.
  20. Do you have a link for CCR? I can never quite google it, if it exists. http://www.ccrrefinishing.com/
  21. I am definitely interested. I use a LOT of LE range brass that has been Glocked. At least 20% will not gauge. This is after using RCBS, Dillion, and Lee sizing dies. The Lee's do a much better job, but I still have the run quite a lot through the pass through. I wold love to be able to roll size several thousand rounds at a time.
  22. In my 5" STI Limited gun, I am loading 180 FMJ (PD) to 1.185 with 5.0 N320 for a PF of 169. You need to work up your own loads. Everyone likes something different and some barrels are faster than other.
