  1. Rowdy, Here you go. https://practiscore.com/results.php?uuid=6fb248f2-1f80-467b-955e-d4cfd955dc51&page=classLeadersPROD Lester
  2. The DAA uses a soft inner belt and a stiff outer belt. The CR Speed does the opposite. Really still inner belt and a less still outer. The rigidity of the system comes from the outer belt when your gun and mags are mounted. you sure about that, both of my CR Speed belts have a soft inner Velcro belt and a rigid outer belt Maybe I'm thinking of a different brand. I'm positive on the DAA. I haven't handled a CR in many years.

  4. I'm game! How would we measure/ quantify?
  5. My go to production gun is a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow (long dust cover). I also have a CZ 75 Shadow (short dust cover). This past weekend, I shot my SA Range Officer in 9mm using the same ammo as I use in the CZs. The SDC Shadow has slightly more flip than the LDC, no much, but enough to fell the difference. The 1911 feels like a .22 in comparison. My squad mates noted that the gun ran very flat and hardly seemed to recoil. It actually felt very slow to me, but it was really fun! Will try to get a video this weekend. Lester
  6. I have the standard 9mm and the .40L. They're awesome. In order of tightness from tightest to loosest: LE Wilson Shockbottle Dillon CZ Shadow barrel
  7. Xtreme 147 and MG 147 RN are both excellent.
  8. Xtreme 147gr round nose. 1.150" with stock, unmodified barrel.
  9. I thought each patch brought your stage time down by 2sec.
  10. Thanks everyone. I've placed an order for the Comp-Tac International 75B .40.
  11. You may be able to avoid future issues by leaving that boat anchor SP01 in the safe and rocking the sweet new SDC CZ instead. If so, that makes one more (potentially overlooked) advantage to the SDC. LOL Thanks Mike!! The CZ 75 Shadow will debut on Saturday at Norco. I'm sure those ounces will save the bag from undue stress from my previously overweight SP-01.
  12. Thanks Stuart. Comp-Tac does offer a 75B .40 version!!!
  13. I have a few SP-01s and their holsters don't hold the short dust cover Shadow securely. So I want to buy another Bladetech or a Comp-Tac International. Does anyone know whether the short dust cover Shadow can use the 75B holster from either of these companies? I know the frame dimensions are the same, but the muzzle end of their slides are different with the 75B tapering at the end. I called Comp-Tac but they don't know. i can buy one and return it if it doesn't fit. Thanks, Lester
  14. So wanted to post a follow up. I sent my bag into CED and two weeks later, they sent a replacement. I received it today. Big thanks to CED for taking care of my complaint. In the box was a letter (attached) that stated, in a nutshell, that this type of wear is common and should be expected. So buyers should be aware that while CED really impressed me by taking care of my claim, they may not do so for others since this is considered normal. Lester Letter from CED.pdf
  15. Would that not drop velocity and thus increase tumbling?
  16. I wish it was the crimp, then I could fix it. It's not. I've pulled the bullets and that's not the problem. The crimp is measuring .378; any less and they won't plunk in the case gauge. Additionally, again, these same rounds shoot very well from my CZ. Perhaps it has something to do with the jump from freebore to rifling. If your RO is like mine it has a very long throat. I've never owned or inspected a CZ but it is my understanding that they have shorter throats. Just a thought... That's an idea. I am loading to 1.160" and they (surprisingly) plunk into both the 1911 and the CZ. JoeD suggested getting the 165gr and loading longer. I think that would have a negative effect on the velocity and thus introduce more likelihood for tumbling. I think there's enough bullet on my 147gr to try loading even longer than 1.160" but that means they won't drop into the CZ anymore. I could probably try 1.180", but the factory Blazer Brass ammo that shoots very well from the gun is only 1.150". Thanks

  18. Some more info. Thanks to a friend who gave me some bullets, I made some new ammo with all of the same specs but replaced the bullet with Montana Gold 147gr CMJ and 124gr FMJ. Both shot very well with very tight groups from the 9mm 1911. I didn't chrono but assume that with the same quantity of powder, the fps will be equal to or less than the plated bullets. So for some reason, the jacketed bullets shoot much more tightly than the plated. Both shoot equally well from my CZ 75 Shadow. So the question is if the accuracy will get better as I shoot more rounds out the 1911 or do i have to shoot jacketed out of it to get consistent accuracy??? Lester
  19. Thanks for validating my experience - helps me know I'm not crazy, although this gun is pushing me in that direction... Lester
  20. That's interesting. My go to load back when I shot plated bullets was 3.0 gr of TG with a 147 gr Rainier bullet. I got unbelievable groups out of a G34. That's interesting. My go to load back when I shot plated bullets was 3.0 gr of TG with a 147 gr Rainier bullet. I got unbelievable groups out of a G34. My stated load works great with my CZ and my Glock 34. No bueno with this 1911.
  21. I already worked on the trigger and it's a crisp 3lbs. In any case, the accuracy problem exists with the plated hand loads but not factory jacketed Blazer Brass. I think that eliminates the gun or trigger as the problem. Thoughts?
