  1. Ordered XL650, case feeder, etc on March 6. Received the press and one set of 40SW dies on Sat, April 13.
  2. I have one from the Glock store using the adapter ring in a Gen4. After a year of shooting (about ~8000 rounds) still good to go.
  3. I used the standard spring that came with the Versa Max. So far, so good. The carbon residue on the top of the extension takes some effort to remove, especially if you want to be careful and avoid damaging the flames.
  4. Big thanks to Glenn and GALCO Manufacturing for the +2 extensions. I used the v2.0 that is slightly longer today in a 3-gun and it worked flawlessly with Winchester AA, Remington Gun Club Target Loads and some Winchester slugs mixed in. Here's a vid showing two reloads to a full 10+1 (the gun started with 8+1). Lester
  5. Need help, please. I have a slight problem with the +2. The fit on the tenth round is so tight with Remington Gun Club Target Load shotshells (2.35 inches) that the tension from the brass onto the feed latch is preventing the feed latch from disengaging when the feed latch release is pushed. The shotshell just stays in place and cannot move into position onto the carrier. I also tested Winchester AA shells and they are okay (2.29 inches). The extension I have measures 4.5 inches. Is this the original length or the extended version? If this is the shorter, original +2, can I just call Galco to get the longer replacement? Thanks, Lester
  6. Thanks for the tips on the strap wrench. I put some muscle into it and the cap came right off. Here's a pic of a black +2 with a Briley extended choke. Lester
  7. I tried a strap wrench but couldn't grasp the tube well. Did you use two straps wrenches?
  8. Any advice on how to remove the stock end cap? I can't get enough grip to twist it off by hand. Thanks, Lester
  9. I also load 147gr plated bullets (Berry's and Xtreme) over 3.7gr of W231 @ 1.130. Works great for my SP-01, but won't cycle my G34 100% of the time, even with a 11lb spring. So now I load 4.0gr and everything works.
  10. Tiger, Was there much difference between your job and the one PRP did? My striker fired experience is pretty limited, so I could only base my judgment of my work on the difference between my own gun before and after without really knowing how much better it might be if a pro had done it. I thought my job turned out really well and all function tests passed as per the PRP videos. It's no 1911 or CZ 75 with a good trigger job but it's head and shoulders above the stock trigger. Thanks.
  11. So I've got my LNL dialed in for 9mm and .45. Priming, powder drop, ejection are all running smoothly and consistently. Now the speed of reloading is just limited by my ability to stick in a case and projectile. I use my left hand for both since my right stays on the handle. I'd like to buy the case or bullet feeder, but don't want to drop cash for both at the same time. Any recommendation on which one will give a greater return on investment in terms of productivity? Given a constrained budget, which should I get first: bullet feeder or case feeder? Thanks, Lester
  12. I did my own with the Powder River Ultimate Match kit. I thought it was a decent improvement over stock until this week when I visited a local range. They have a rental gun exactly like my 9mm 5.25, so I asked if I could handle it. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! It was night and day between my personal pistol with the PRP kit (installed by me ) and the range gun. If you're so inclined, you could do the job on your own and have excellent results. I'm no smith, but I can follow directions and exercis some patience. With this and the PRP Youtube videos, I was sufficiently armed. Lester
  13. Same experience here. I have the 13lb mainspring and it works very well with 9mm, but I have light strikes on the Kadet upper once or twice per ten rounds. Lester
  14. In the installation video, why does he push down on the slide to test fire after fitting the overtravel on the trigger? What's the purpose of pushing down on the slide? Thanks!
