Steel frames rule! That being said, why not try borrowing one or meeting someone nearby that has one or both and shooting them to get a feel. An Edge and a Para are two different animals with very different balance.

Since they've had all those sites where you stare at something for a while and then something scares the crap out of you, I was hesitant to do this. But that is pretty trippy to see that happen.

I just made M a few months ago as a lefty. I don't feel at a disadvantage for the most part, only on a few of the obviously right biased stages. My goal is to make GM by the end of 2006

The area 2 no-shoot steel targets were white IPSC steel targets with black x's painted on them.

I think the survey is an awesome idea. I gave my answers the day it came out. However, I think the survey could be broader in it's questions, so that they are not just shooting related. I think that our shooting based sponsors already know what the average IPSC shooter owns or buys as far as shooting related products. If the survey included questions about non-shooting related activities, (hobbies, cars, computers, food, drink), the results could be better used to court NON-shooting related sponsors. If, for example, 80% of our members were computer users, I think computer product companies might want to advertise at our events. With actual numbers from our members, we could present hard data to these companies. More mainstream sponsors would be good for gun owners in general and our sport in particular. Just my $.02.

I was wondering what the dark bronze coating is that is on some of the SV barrels. I think it is the standard AET coating, though I am not sure. I was curious as to whether or not this process could be completed on a stainless STI barrell aftermarket to give it that color, and if so, if SV was the ones that could do it. I will be emailing SV also. This is a purely cosmetic thing, not looking for a performance change. Tag

Questions: 1. Anyone have pics of melonite finished guns or parts? 2. Does Burlington finish firearms pieces? 3. If not, who does? 4. If yes, what state does the gun/pieces have to be sent to them in (i.e. sandblasted, gun-kote on is OK etc.)

I also just received my M card in Limited and I feel similar. Like I can stop preoccupying my mind with worrying about the numbers and just strart working towards GM. Certainly is great step, congrats.

I dig on 12lb springs in my Para and Hi-Cap Springer.

I talked to Gary at Area 2 and he had nothing to show. He said they would be available by spring 06.

I would complain to USPSA HQ if your club is taking that long to pay and forward your Classifiers. That's part of the service you pay for when you pay a match fee.

I think we should have known these dates by the end of the 2005 nationals.

I like the fact that the movie dealt with the boredom you face being deployed overseas and dealing with danger regularilly, but not necessarilly able to do anything about it. A lot of the things in the movie mirrored some of my own experiences, including the "pro-mask" football. I thought it was well done.

I carry an M26 in uniform with a Safariland 6004 holster with my spare cartridges on my belt. The holster is weak side and the extras are strong side, exact opposite of my duty gun/mags.

Sexy, I like it, it looks like a big bludgeoning (sp?) tool.

Rich Dettlehouser told me that he could weld up a mag release for my Springer Hi-Cap to accept STI/SV mags for about 20-30 bucks. Alot cheaper than buying a bunch of new mags if you already have STI's.
