I carry two PMAG's coupled together using a First Samco mag coupler at work. I haven't had any problems.

Are you wanting to not go at all, or just not get picked? You can do what Merlin said to not get picked, but they will probably have multiple trials going on, on any given week, and they will have a jury selection for all of them. This means you will stay in the jury pool all week, reading a book, waiting to get picked.

Lefty here. I tried mag buttons of several configurations and finally decided they were a FAIL... The speed you MAY gain from it is offset by the potential disaster of having mags periodically falling out on their own.

What LE class are you attending? Is it an academy?

I shoot nickle brass that I recover off of our agency's range. It commonly has scratches from being stepped on or just landing on the concrete. I usually shoot it once and don't recover it, since I have an unending supply. I haven't had any problems with the scratched stuff. If it's really bad, just toss it and move on.

I've had problems with fogging at the last two nationals in Tulsa, particularily at the morning stages. I went to the vendor tent at both nationals and bought a bottle of Kleer Vu Anti-Fog Cleaner. It cleans very well and was very effective at keeping the fog off my lenses. http://www.kleervu.com/

I really appreciated that the scores were updated very quickly on both the public access laptops provided at the range and then on the USPSA website because of the nature of the palm scoring. It was however disconcerting that the NPM's were not listed on the palm or on the receipt you would receive at the end of the stage. I think this needs to be remedied. If we are going to release a tech-type scoring solution, it needs to be implemented using RO's that don't still have rotary telephones.

Not Listed: Alliant American Select I have used this powder for over 4 years for both my major and minor loadings. 5.5 gr in my major load ends up around 172 and 4.5 gr in my minor load gets me in at about 154. Works well and I have never felt the need to switch.

I am a lefty and I am also forced to do this quite a bit. If I really need to move a long distance, I point my feet at where I need to run to. I then twist my upper body towards down range to keep my gun pointed there while I do the reload. I exaggerated it when started and it's gotten more and more smooth.

There is a difference between a PRE ignition push and a POST ignition push. PRE will cause you to shoot low and is in anticipation of recoil. POST is after the bullet has left the barrel and is used to control recoil. PRE will be indicated by low hits as the speed of shots increases. If you fire a string and the bullets are impacting where your sights are and then you add a dummy round in there and notice a dip when it doesn't fire, it is likely a POST ignition push. Your hits on target will indicate what is happening. POST is a good thing and helps to increase the speed of follow up shots. PRE is a bad thing and causes bad hits. One technique I know of for fixing PRE is to simply hold your sights while dry firing on target and attempt to pull the trigger without disturbing the movement of the sights. POST will be discovered by working on timing and letting the sights dictate how fast you can fire a sequence of shots. I have watched very many talented shooters and at speed, almost all have what appears to be a flinch if a round doesn't go off. Given their hits on targets, this is a POST ignition push and is not a bad thing to have happen.

I grabbed John Amidon aside at the LPR Nationals a couple days ago and asked him about this issue. He told me that grip tape on the Bottom and Front of the triggerguard is specifically NOT allowed. He went on to explain that the grip tape is only allowed on the area of the grip to include the backstrap, frontstrap and side panels. Any where else would be illegal including the frame directly above the trigger. He described it as if you pulled a tube of grip tape onto the grip, that would be the only legal areas. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Just thought some of you would be curious to see these. I know Leatham's is one he has used before. Jarrett told the reporter from Shooting USA that he had yet to fire the 6" inch gun in competition and that it was new. He also opined that 6" guns would be a trend in the future. Time will tell. Anyway, here are the pics.

At the point where swingers come to rest, they are usually almost oriented 90 degrees to the left or right of upright. Setting up some stationary targets with that orientation will get you used to shooting with that sight picture. Swingers are hard to practice because the timing will usually be dependent on the stage and the swinger set-up. Typically in most situations, it is faster to wait for the swinger to settle and put two on it than try to track it across the arc.

I have been shooting the pistol for about a month now. I am very pleased with the finish. I occasionally rub the area of the trigger guard on the aluminum of my Safariland 012 holster. This leaves little aluminum "scratches" on the finish. I simply rub them with my finger and they promptly disappear. No visible wear on any of the coated areas, including the barrel, barrel hood, link, frame rails, etc. This will be the only finish I ever get done from now on. Simply awesome.

Just shot this one at a local club match. Production Division with Springfield XD40 Tactical Points = 52 (including No Shoot Penalty on perf, but got the hit also) Time = 6.41 Hit Factor = 8.1123 This factors out to be 98.15% according to Ohio. I started left to right, being left handed. The no shoot was on the very first shot on the nearest left side target. Luckilly it was so close I didn't even notice it happened till I was done. Thought it was a deal killer. Without the penalty I would have been a 117%. Oh well.

Last I heard, Beven will not tune customer mags, but will sell components and new tuned mags.

It's not my club, but while on vacation in AZ I shot a local match at a club near Tucson. At the end, I asked how long it usually takes to get online results posted and the person told me "Oh, we don't do that, the guy that did that moved away. We hang them on the wall about 2 hours after the match." Retarded.
