  1. I tested 100 reloaded rounds through my 9 minor open gun and saw no issues. With that being said, 9 brass is so easy to come by why take a chance that the Ballistic Gods would say ”todays the day I blow something up!”
  2. I use the universal deprimer to insure the cleaned primer pocket does not have stainless steel pins in it. I have run across several pieces of 223 brass with 2 pins wedged in the primer pocket.
  3. I have used both types with my Benelli and my Versamax. The Remington tube has a slightly longer tongue on it that you can shorten if needed.
  4. I have polished them in a vibrating cleaner and they came out very nice.
  5. In the front for 3 gun and back left for pistol rigs.
  6. I have had no issues with decapping after wet pin cleaning. I do dry my brass for 50 minutes in clothes dryer that has a drying rack. On warm sunny days I leave them spread out on a towel in the back of my jeep for some solar drying.
  7. I thought it was a great match. Really like the half day format which gave me time for lots of sporting clays. I liked all the no shoots as it wreaked havoc on some who would spray and pray! Thanks to the Match organizers, and the hard working and fun lovin ROs. And thanks to the generosity of those companies who donated to the prize table.
  8. I have the stainless aggressive grip on my new open gun a it is great. I love the weight which for me balances the gun out.
  9. Speed shooters International shows them on their web site. https://www.speedshooter.com/product_detail.cfm?id=TEC&n=TEC-Loader-SL---12-Shot
  10. If you would clean your barrel and shoot one time and see how much copper fouling you get out of it will give you some direction. If it has heavy copper fouling it could use some break in which is just the poor man’s method of lapping out any burrs left over from the manufacturing process.
  11. I’ve used the Sinclair break-in method, shoot 1 shot and clean through the first 10 shots than 3 shots and clean through the next 30 rounds. I have done these only two times but both of these guns are my most accurate…coincidence?
  12. Thanks for posting and it is a good read with great information. Santa is bringing me a 300 blackout upper so this is timely for me.
  13. I recently shipped my 550b purchased in 1993 back for the $67.00 rebuild and it was like a new machine. Fast turnaround also.
  14. Dave, Did you ever get your 15+1+1 running 100%?
  15. The Arredondo is off a Benelli M2. It fit with some light filling. The speed bead mount is also off a Benelli M2 but it is more difficult to modify. I called Burris and they have no plans to build a Speed bead for the Versamax. I’ve found the Tec loader tubes are mostly interchangeable.
  16. I have limited success. When it runs it great.
  17. Thanks guys, you have given some good ideas. Much appreciated Mike
  18. Close but no cigar. I need 9/16x28 to 5/8 x24.
  19. Hi guys, I removed the muzzle brake from my Savage long range Hunter in 7 mag and it is threaded 9/16 x 28. I need a suppressor adaptor to go to 5/8 x24 but it seems no one makes one. Does anyone know someone who could make a custom one for me? Thanks Mike
  20. I had a STI major 9 shorty that cracked the slide after only 8000 rounds so what was I going to do with all that 9 major ammo? I pulled my old reliable Caspian 38 Super that has close to 200k rounds through it out off the safe ,changed the extractor and ran several mags of Major 9 through without a hitch. I will run it in practice for a while at least until I empty all that 9 major loaded ammo.
  21. I have tried a similar set up with a 14 round tube and 2 springs like your are doing that limited the tube capacity to 12 and I still had problems. I glad yours is working for you!
  22. Dave My malfunctions are not just on the last round and it has happened on 2 different Benelli M2s and the new Versamax competition. The spent round is ejected and the new one is lying on the carrier. The oddest thing by far is it will statistically happen at a match and not in practice. It’s become somewhat of a joke among my fellow shooters. I run Nordic Tubes on the Benelli and a Plus 4 on the Versa Max with Nordic springs. I have tried the really long spring from Dave’s Metal works with similar results
