  2. thanks guys......what would you compare the grip to, when you say smallish. a ruger has a relatively small grip in circumference, or did you mean length. could you put a tape measure to it and give me circumference and length? trapr
  3. mikey.....have you been sharing your recipe with others, cuz this guy has figured it out trapr.
  4. i get it now......... the bolt is unladen does that make a difference, in SPEED? trapr
  5. SAY WHAT!!!!!!! dog is african/american gun is HK import, OK jeff i'll bite.......how do I tell if its african or european? BTW, i got the spring out, and it didn't seem to be heavily oiled. however the tail end was a little curled, the end furthest from the bolt. by a little i mean maybe 20 or 30 degrees and only 1.5" to 2". trapr
  6. tewlman....are you progressive machine?? : if so, dan earnest sold all his loaders that he had on him in greece, they literally took them from him after the match was over.........great product. thanks for excellent products!! trapr
  7. what was the poundage before....massaging what kind of groups can you get @ 50yds / scope or irons trapr
  8. thanks flex.... thats what i was looking for, i guess if i had actually looked it would have saved me time. any idea what the trigger weight is? trapr
  9. i've been thinking about trying the beretta 87 target pistol for team challenge and steel challenge, i'd like to know if anyone has experience with it. accuracy? good trigger? reliable mags? reliable gun? i've used a ruger, smith 41, browning, and marvel.....they're all good and bad. i'm just looking for some pre-spending info, that can't be found in a brochure. trapr
  10. the british comedian, benny hill......is on vacation, So i'll ask youz guys!! the bolt on my m1, returns to battery way to slowly, rearward is plenty quick, but forward is like dial up service. several guys at ESC06, noticed and it didn't bother me there, because of target transitions, however...today i went and tried to drive it hard, and PRESTO...hammer follow. i am reasonably certain its just slower lately, and i'm not faster lately. any intelligent quesses, oh wait i forgot, who i was asking........just kidding help thanks trapr
  11. see, now i thought so too!!!! ewe and eye must've bean the only ones..... trapr
  12. Mikey.45, no.....yuer ronge mikey pinto.....i'm not shooting area 6, so i might make it, i can use it as a warm up for Benning. vacation is tight right now though, so i'll have to wait and see. trapr
  13. you know i was looking at the dusty photo and it looked like my finger was still in the trigger guard, so i grabbed the benelli and it really doesn't have to move much to get out of the guard. and man i am so fast, you can just see the empty flyin' thru the air, and i've already started to go for the reload. kinda like benelli2 in his pic. cool ain't it.....Ooooooooooooo!! wait if i start braggin' on myself, dogs bollux might slam me i ain't skeered!!! i got a dog of my own trapr
  14. Mikey..... are you really sure you want ALL the pictures, put out there???? luv ya buddy.... trapr
  15. Ohhhhh, very original mr. ronge. it only took you a week to figure out the spelling is different. my 5 yo. nephew figured it out in 15 minutes. i guess the extra years you spent in grade school weren't much good for you. from your other topic, hopefully your NASA techs, aren't the same ones that forgot to convert the miles/kilometers thing, cuz that could be really really baaaad. TRAPR
  16. scout, did it once at the river city halloween match. i was the shooter and was running down range only to have him pass me. i yelled at him to go back he did, and the run continued like nothing happened. i kept waiting for the ro to stop me but he didn't, so i kept shooting. needless to say it never happened again. he was 1 or 2 at the time, he is now almost 9. trapr
  17. sniperdog, i have the same problem, what i do is practice really small targets, at the distances i have available. in other words, an 9" target at 300yds, works out to a 3" target at 100yds. i use a 10-22 with the same sights i have on my AR. it fires cheap ammo and allows me lots of practice. the trajectory works out about the same also AR at100,200 & 300yds, is really close to 10-22 at 50,75, & 100yds. trapr
  18. i believe that the best scopes are meopta, ACOG, new nightforce 1-4x, and as much as i hate to agree with Ronge, the TR-21. my personal pick would have to go to one of the trijicon offerings, simply because i like the no electronics to go bad idea. trapr
  19. also note from the previous pic, that both steel were hit w/o the no shoot being tagged....nice shootin' tex. as i recall the one was kinda tight. although, not as tight as the one that "only ten people in world could make that shot"... yeah, and three of them are here!! see ya in benning, if not sooner trapr
  20. i don't recall him saying anything about port opening up, i know when we were looking for ammo, he wanted 28gram. loads as opposed to what was more prevalent 32 gram loads. so as far as heavy or light loads thats as much as i can say, he did wind up shooting some 32 gram loads i believebut only due to availability. jeff's in hawaii now, but he obviously has his computer, try pm'ing him. trapr
  21. Scott, weakhand reloading like the benelli was pretty much no different, jeff actually does both weak and strong hand reloading????? the italians were very interested in it? you'd think theyd have already known? if i didn't have a benelli it would definetly be my next option, it may be the easiest gas gun to keep clean and running, "my opinion" trapr
  22. i have had a similar problem, for me it turned out to be gas bleeding past the gas block, couldn't find out about it until i took off the block and it just fel off once the set screws were loosened. i replaced it with a steel one and followed the manufacturers instructions of using red loctite all around and then set screwing in place. once done....no problems. Trapr
  23. hows hawaii treating you pardner, hope the flight was more enjoyable than u.s. to europe. see ya soon buddy trapr
  24. i got a chance to shoot jeff cramblit's 24" extrema, in greece and 24" is a very nice length as well as 21". jeff said, that it also seems easier to obtain a 24" barrel over a 21" barrel so don't write off 24" if it can be found. as for stock or modified, my m1 is mostly stock, no performance enhancements just little stuff like sights and loading port beveling. stick with stock until you find out what you need or would like. then find someone to do the work you want. trapr
