Ok sweet checked it out @ shootersconnection and it says I can use a 5" guide rod on this ... Does that mean I can use a 5" guide rod with this 6" reverse plug in a 6" slide ???

I have a buddy who wants to start playing with recoil springs to make the 6" Long Slide to shoot flatter ... Cant seem to find a place to order recoil springs in different lbs ... But, I heard that theres a plug that we can use to run a 5" spring ... Anyone point us in the right direction ???

Yoshi; sorry for being such a noob but whats IIRC ??? Another question, is the can 170mm 40sw mag lips be modified to fit 45... I tried to load a 45rd on my 140mm 40sw mags and they were close in width, looked like they just need to be pounded out to open the lips up...

can the newer design SVI Mags be modified soo it'll work on the STI mag release ??? Reason I ask is this is the only manufacturer to my knowledge that makes 170mm mags in 45acp... Building a SHTF 45acp pistol...

are you trying to get rid of the pwr ext you can remove the series 80 and keep your extractor Yup ... got the Para on a trade and it had the dread FTE problem ... So I wanted to get rid of the 80 series and the extractor... by the juan your stock number is for the dawson base pad ... not the EGW sleeve

I've only been successfull in finding the Millenium Sleeve not the EGW ... If you say Brownells has it can you post a link for me ... Because for the life of me I cant find it...

ok so if I get rid of my 80 series stuff do I need to order a 80 series extractor as well or can I order a 70 series extractor inconjunction with the sleeve ??? I'm interested in hearing more about this subject as well... I spoke to a few local shooters and Johnny Limcat's son ... They run AET Schuemann barrels and they shoot lead out of it and dont ever clean their barrels out, except shoot a mags worth of jacketed bullets thru it after every match ...

Man... I already ordered a STI Gun Smith Blank... I might have to install a SV flat trigger if it doesnt look good... If I do what parts do I need to order ... do I need to order the triglide base or just regular titanium bow trigger base ??? I'll be ordering @ speedshooter.com
