  1. I've trimmed some casings to 1.68 by mistake before and used them, still worked with 55gr fmj.
  2. I can see how he can eventually get into his team's nerves... too much negative comments instead of boosting confidence for better performance. But then, it's just the first episode. I think it was this one...
  3. Nice ego show for a first episode Excellent firearms to start with, great exciting stages to come... looking forward to that.
  4. PF is 170 in Modified vs. 160 in Open.
  5. That's easy... "Never Say Never Again"
  6. Use what it says on your barrel...
  7. LOL! I was referring to the primers alone... Interesting to know what really happened.
  8. That's most likely what happened. Somebody slammed the package or something and primers detonated; realizing the package contains hazmat they just discarded the whole thing. Sorry to hear about the hassle.
  9. You cannot beat the PS3 for what it can do and value. My first player was Sony's first flagship that was little under 1K, it is now out performed by cheaper models that can do more. Good brands of players are Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and LG; if you are looking into higher-end ones there's Marantz, Denon, Oppo and Pioneer Elite players. Consider a unit that is network ready and can stream media files from a media server. Blu-Ray discs can be ripped into files now and streamed from a Network-Attached Storage. PS3 can do all these and you can switch movies, go back where you left off without fondling discs, connect to Netflix, rent/buy from Vudu, browse the internet, and so much more.
  10. I for one got sucked into it. Got a stainless one though
  11. Did this at the 2009 Open Nationals and I have to say that it really does work well. The ONLY mistake I made was using a 170mm mag with a new stiff spring and not using enough force to lock the mag in. Would have worked PERFECTLY! As you can see from the video below, it screwed me up totally
  12. I bought most of the high-end stocks like Magpul (M93B, PRS, UBR), VLTOR (Modstock, E-Mod) and LMT. Each one has it's pros and cons for 3-gun use but shines when used on specific rifles i.e. LMT for an SBR or M4, PRS for a long range rifle and so forth. For 3-gun, I ended up using below for simplicity and handling. But then, it's what works for me. I find the UBR best for carbines.
  13. I use Redding Competition Pro Series Die Sets.
  14. In addition, check out what Nordic Components and Firebird has to offer. If not too particular about anything I'll call a builder and see what they can do for my budget; my $0.02.
  15. I just leave it in the bag and take it out for a few drops of oil on the rails and run a bore snake 2-3x day before a local match. Strip the top end before a major match or when it's all gunked and complete field strip maybe two to three times a year. I never run a brush through the barrel, just a bore snake with little Kano Kroil. Magazines on the other hand gets brushed and wiped after each use.
  16. Didn't want to spend too much on a cart and put this together for $75. Works well for me... I can be more creative and make new center piece out of the seat material.
  17. Very nice setup, great if it works for you. One question though, if you have a 1x scope why not use that?
  18. With MG 124gr JHPs, WSR primers @ 1.170" OAL. 8gr of Silhouette gave me 173pf 8.1gr of VV 3N37 avg to 170pf
