From New York limited not an option but went from a PRO 40 limited 10 to a Sig Elite in 40 for Single Stack, all other comparisons the same except hoping to make B now in SS.
Have and have had 1911s in 45 and 9 so familiar with the platform.
In 9mm to use as my example most come with 12 lb recoil springs and most of us who compete go to 9 or 10. Now in 40 Wolff lists the norm as a 18, yet all I have read shows most use 12s. Taking into account PF we use compared to factory why such a wide spread but not in 9? When both are high pressure rounds.
My only problem with the thin front and wide sight bars in competition I tend to fire when see the whole FO so shots are off as still close to the rear side, prefer a smaller light bar.
5 months and 2 promises of release of the 40 Max,gave up and putting in the same category as Big Foot and The Loch Ness monster :_). Seriously did pick up s Elite in 40 for the price difference can add most of the parts used in the Max, not finding any big differences from flat trigger so not replacing it. So far no problems have heard of with the 40 in a 1911.
Not flared just the opposite, no name on MAG, but much too square and the top corner is catching under the magazine catch.Going to try and "smooth" out the top right corner of one of the magazines.
Had problems with some of my mags in my Sig Max also mags not locking in or hard to load first round. Exchanged the mag release for a Wilson Combat problem solved.
Not sure if everyone is missing something, you say while trying to clear, you let the slide go forward grab the empty case and then the slide is stuck?
There have been(I had one) issues with early production striker assemblies. Could these have been slam fires caused by the striker hitting the case too early? Sounds strange case that hard to get out with slide.
The problem is when inserting the magazine, it is catching on something and will not go in any further, with out backing out and repositioning it,the 2 piece has not had that happen. Both are marked sig made in Germany.
Been using the Blade Tech quad pouch for 2 years now,it is legal and took a little practice getting Yamaha out but no big problem. I find it easier the having to reach behind the back to get to MAG 4.
Recently bought a used P226 Elite SS in 9, find the 10 round 2 piece mags load no problem, but the 1 piece hang up on what seems to be the mag release and stop about an inch from loading unless I fiddle with it. Anyone have the same problem or what is causing it?
Picked up an Elite in 40 runs great no problems, ran factory 150 rounds first, few failure to completely chamber but only first 50 rounds. Has a ramped barrel and even reloads at COL of 1.120 load no trouble.
