  1. https://magpul.com/pmag-10-gl9-glock-g17.html I bet these would work
  2. Very possible, I have never tried that. I have mailed long guns to individuals in state more than once. I even had to school the post office on it
  3. You can also mail long guns through the USPS. Doesn't apply in the op's situation, but as long as they don't cross state lines you can mail long guns person to person through the Post office
  4. Of course that should be fixed, throughout this thread several times I've said things could be improved. But, overall it still works pretty good the way it is. Everything can always use some improvement, but people Pearl clutching and acting like the classification system is completely horrible are overreacting. If we just look at the overall arching system the way it is now, having a six classifier average, that even your high ones can roll off, kind of takes out the anomalies But sure, improvements could be made and that would not hurt anything. I kind of wonder what the op of this threads goal is, it seems like maybe to stir some poop to me, or maybe push his website? New guy makes three or four posts and they're all about classification and classifiers and his charts......
  5. 70x5 = 350 + 94.9=444.9/6=74.15 still b class. If he kept shooting classifiers over 70% and happened to pick one up at 94.9 he should have been an A class shooter. Otherwise he just wanted sandbag in b class and got offended when he started getting beat by 84% a class shooters. So no, I'm not in favor of changing the classification system because somebody squeaked into a class and then was sad because they got beat. Hell, I squeaked into a class and get beat by a class shooters occasionally as well. But I was watching and knew what I needed to get into a class because I wanted to be there. It offends me none when I get beat by somebody who's put in more work or has more talent. I know how to change that, and if I don't want to put in the work to do it, a new classification system isn't going to help me either.
  6. But the problem with this theory is that if a guy is in B class and lays down a GM score it's too high so it doesn't count anyway. I've had that happen myself before. In fact I've had to call them and tell them to make sure to count a score. Also known another guy that had to call and tell them to count classifier for the same thing. In other words one great classifier is not enough to bump you up, you would have to have a string of these classifiers where 40% of people shooting them made GM or m percentages, and you would need them all pretty much back to back not one here and there. I'm not sure this is a real problem
  7. That's strange, because where I'm at our classification pretty well ends up with who wins and such in the match. There are some older Master class shooters that don't keep up anymore, but when they were young they were right up the other masterclass shooters. Edited to add: I just opened practice score and went to a couple of recent random (not my clubs) club matches and sure enough overall Masters beat A class who beat C-Class, etc. And yes you're going to have an outlier or two where somebody is going to be moving up the ranks and be slightly under classified and you're going to have a distinguished senior that's moving down the ranks and it's going to appear to be over classified. But in general the results finish the way you would think they should by someone's classification. I'm not saying that improvements can't be made however, it actually does work pretty well right now.
  8. I get it ain't perfect but, when you go to a match and you look at the results generally GMS beat Masters, who beat a class, who beat b class who beat C-Class, who beat d class. So even with all the fretting people like to do over the classification system, if it was completely perfect, pretty sure the results are going to be the same at the match. That's not to say that there shouldn't be some corrections in places where it's way off, just that it actually seems to work pretty well now and most of this is much to do about not a whole lot Edited to add: this is the results from carry optics Nationals last year. If you scroll through you notice sure enough the top tends to be GM except for that one U at the very top LOL, then followed by Masters on down to C-Class. Of course there's some intermingling and a few where somebody is probably a higher class in a different division shoots to a higher class. But I don't think you're ever going to get a classification system to be 100% https://practiscore.com/results/new/208298
  9. Strange. Almost sounds like there was some miscommunication somewhere. If I was feeling brave I might try some ammo and see if it happened to work now, sometimes things do smooth out over a little bit of time but, I wouldn't put much ammo through it if it wasn't working. And if I wasn't feeling brave at all I would call Springfield again and get it worked out. I do get being aggravated at it all though and just wanting to move on so that would be completely reasonable as well
  10. The $25 Glock mags kind of lost their allure when you can get $40 prodigy mags and basically standard 2011 components. That's not to say the platypus is not a good gun but, I think most people would rather have a steel frame and standard 2011 bits
  11. I don't know him, but he seems like a good guy doing the right thing
  12. Yeah, PSCL is hit factor and minor at that. Least that is the way it is supposed to be
  13. Good catch. I thought the bigger daggers were on the 17 size frame. The op should probably just rip the Band-Aid off, get a 2011, and shoot LO
  14. Would widening the slots work? I have had to do that on something but, I can't remember what

    Coupled mag?

I personally don't have an issue dumping coupled 30s if they're coupled side by side. I do see how if you have them coupled offset they could be tougher to dump. Forties definitely can be harder to deal with their extra length. At least that's my experience I might run into one someday where a coupled mag makes it tougher.
  16. There may have already been a thread on here like this before, I might have even started one, I did the search but couldn't find anything So, with that out of the way is there any hope for iron sight divisions in USPSA? I was looking at clubs around here and they seem to run somewhere between 10 to 20% iron sight shooters. Most of those guys are in limited, some with real guns, some doing the old load up your production gun thing. And that number seems to fall all the time At this point production 15 hasn't seen to move the needle but, I think more time needs to pass. I am not hopeful however So it makes me wonder if there is anything that can be done to bump the Ironsight division numbers. I'm not talking change division rules or anything like that at this point but, I'm wondering about things outside of equipment changes. I want to think something like hosting a match centered around one of the iron sight divisions like say a limited division trophy match might help and could be done on the local level but, iron sight Nationals couldn't sell out.... Maybe it's just the way it is now and if you want to shoot an iron sight gun you kind of shoot against no one or everyone depending on how you want to look at it. Anybody else got any thoughts or ideas? Does anybody else even care to shoot irons again LOL?
  17. Thanks for posting that. Interesting how some of them there was almost no change and other ones there's quite a bit. Is IDPA power factor 125 as well? Or is it a little bit lower I can't remember. Good news is it looks like most of it does make at least 125 I think one other thing this shows real well is that you can't really guess at it, gotta Chrono it to know
  18. Would smaller shards of jacket or core be considered splatter? Genuinely curious. I kind of think a piece of jacket that big could very easily be considered a hit, and like I joked about in my post, if that was a shoot Target you can guarantee people would be arguing for a hit One thing that this makes me think is that maybe poppers in front of no shoots are a bad idea. Or at least if you're going to put poppers in front of noshoots, put them several yards in front so maybe this won't happen
  19. Yeah, a custom blaster probably would have been a couple of months. Good luck, and hopefully everything works like it should. Let us know, thanks
