  1. Sorry, my bad folks, it does look like most restrictions have been removed per Appendix D1-D9 in 2021 SCSA Rule Book APPENDIX D1 – Open Division 1 Minimum power factor for Major NA for Steel Challenge 11 Rule 5.1 applies Yes 12 Restriction on position of holster and other equipment No APPENDIX D2 – Limited Division 1 Minimum power factor for Major NA for Steel Challenge 11 Rule 5.1 applies Yes 12 Restriction on position of holster and other equipment No APPENDIX D4 – Production Division 1 Minimum power factor for Major NA for Steel Challenge 10 Max. distance of handgun and mags/speed loaders from inner side of belt Handgun and Mags: 2 1/8” (width of an overlay) 11 Rule 5.1 applies Yes 12 Restriction on position of holster and other equipment No 20 Holster and magazine holder restrictions • Suitable for everyday use. “Race gun” type holster prohibited. • May not be manufactured or cut lower than, and must cover the slide up to, 1/2” below the ejection port (belt slide “Yaqui” type holster exempt). • Revolver holsters open no lower than halfway down the cylinder. • The drop offset type holster is allowed in production Division as long as the heel of the butt of the gun is above the belt. Not going to cut & paste the others, you should get the idea.
  2. Here's the rule for holsters, looks like it's just like USPSA Looks like the rules kind of contradict themselves with the wording in 5.1 and then you see 5.1.2 ?? (though that is the rule the rule lawyers will bring up) CHAPTER 5 – Competitor Equipment Rules 5.1 Holsters In general, holsters shall be mounted at the waist, must cover the trigger, and must safely hold/retain the gun. All Centerfire handguns must be appropriate for holster use. Female competitors are permitted to wear a belt, holster and allied equipment at hip level. 5.1.1 Rimfire competition does not involve the use of a holster. It is permissible for a Rimfire pistol to be transported between stages in a holster. Either a gun case or a holster must be used for transport. 5.1.2 Division-specific holster restrictions may apply. See Appendix D1 through D9 for division-specific information. 5.1.3 Due to the unique nature of the Steel Challenge, drawing from concealment or from inside the waist band is not allowed. 5.1.4 The use of 3-gun carts for transporting Rimfire Rifles and Pistol Caliber Carbines is permitted at all match levels. The long gun must be flagged at all times.
  3. Welp, there goes my stock in Locktite
  4. Another tool that doesn't understand, but what eva, I tried, they suck, time to take up golf.
  5. I want to check this one out (the 22LR version) https://americanhandgunner.com/handguns/sixgun-savvy-armscors-357-22-magnums/
  6. What he said ^^^ I was shooting my 617 over the weekend, had a few hang ups closing the cylinder as all the rounds did not seat and I bashed the rims of some rounds pretty good a few times (two days of steel challenge shooting, dirty dirty gun) and no discharges or issues. When it does happen, because since we are talking about it it will more than likely happen to ME, I will report back
  7. I'm not too worried, though the worse can happen at anytime. Looking at the 617 if you dropped it on a sharp pointy rock "star down" even they could go off maybe ! And speaking of stars, the Colt looks kinda pathetic, though that could be just a picture gun.
  8. Thanks for the shout out Squirrel The image attached here is one of my L frame speed loader holders for ICORE Classic, this one is setup for H&K Speed Loaders, I change out the center post to work with Comp 1's, 2's or 3's I suggest a minimum of 7 holders for some of those crazy high round count stages you may see at a regional or the IRC, yes 6 works 90% of the time but I like to have extra. If you're interested in more info send me an email at revoshooter@verizon.net
  9. Ok Zack, I will send you the proposal we made up and sent to the board, thanks.

  11. Not to worry Squirrel, we are working on it
  12. Annnd one final reply, our A7 Director did bring our initial request up at a BOD meeting back in Jan/Feb/Mar of 2021 and it was shot down due to not being a formal proposal, thought it was covered here in an earlier post but it might have been in another forum.
  13. (I guess I have to brush up on my multi post reply technique) I knew this was going to be a long road revolver45, with the 30k loss at the WSSC this year and new elections coming up that all adds to it, maybe now that we have Zack's ear we can get this worked out.
  14. Yes, that was the USPSA starting point, I was just being nice in my replies and not mentioning names
  15. The above example is the way Steel Challenge was run years ago imo, new gun platform shows up, let's create a category for them. If you are going to record the different guns times then it seems like it would be just as easy to make different divisions. A little history on why we are proposing these new divisions......... This all started because a generous man wanted to offer a $500 prize to the "Revolver Master" at a large East Coast Steel Challenge match (his own funds btw), after talking with the match officials they thought it was a great idea but they had no idea how to use Practiscore to do it since the s/w didn't recognize the revo rimfire guns, and if it wasn't a USPSA recognized division how could they "legally" do it ? This brought us to "hey ?? how come us revo rimfire guys aren't recognized" and "jeez, I wonder how many other rimfire revo shooters there are out there?" So, as I mentioned in my last reply to Zack’s post, we started proposing something. Now granted, folks have mentioned there is a way to do this for lower tired matches but our ultimate goal is to compare rimfire revo times with the rest of the country/world, not just at major matches or the occasional bigger state type area match.
  16. And that is disturbing Zack, there has been a formal proposal submitted to the Area 7 director that was sent back in Feb. Back when this proposal started (a year ago plus I think!!) your name was never brought up to submit anything to, I have to add, during that time when we were talking with the USPSA BOD, matches were very lightly attended and cancellations were happening all over the country. I also have to admit I had not heard your name mentioned on this forum or others during this time and I honestly thought you were up to other things, then imagine my surprise when just after I submitted our proposal for RRFO/RRFI I read that you have submitted a proposal for the changes/additions for 2022 ! So to sum up, we proceeded with the RRFO/RRFI proposal the way we were told to by the USPSA BOD (or agents of said BOD) I apologize that you were not included in our proposal submission and would be happy to share what has been written up and discuss. I did talk with my Area Director the other day and he said he would be talking to Troy at the Classic Nationals about bringing this up at a future rules meeting. Congrats on the Speed Beez prize, great loaders, I know a guy who makes holders for those along with some other Rimfire Revolver items
  17. I will check Squirrel, been meaning to but with Worlds going on figured folks be busy.
  18. No idea Squirrel, we sent the info and followed their direction, we'll have to just wait and see.
  19. We just submitted the proposal to our Area 7 Dir. Lee Cabana and he plans to get it on the schedule with the rules committee, Let your area director know you would like to see the addition.
  20. Hey Squirrel, there are some 165 and even 155 grn 45 heads out there. As you've found, getting too slow causes other problems, I chased that for way too long and now use a bit higher pf/velocity. https://slipperybullets.com/product/45-155-swc-ht/
  21. Yup,that's it. Great idea !! And agree on the setscrew strength, just make sure you get a good fitting hex/allen wrench to go with those screws.
  22. I asked this question and now I think maybe this should go to a new thread ?? But, to answer your question, the Rough Country looks great but every time I look they are sold out, that may tell you their price point is too low and they can't afford to make them. A replacement blade might be the way to go but offer the screw replacement. Always loved the Millets, size, shape.
