  1. I have 2 sets of the early style dies. One set has the decap assy screwed all the way down, without a jamb nut. It works just fine. The other has a jamb nut similar to the one on your seating die, The decap assy is NOT screwed all the way down. It works just fine. Try adjusting yours and see what works.
  2. If you have a hand primer, like a Lee or RCBS, I would point the round in a SAFE direction, and gently seat the primer. I have done it many times. I've also used the inertia bullet puller. Just use an abundance of caution.
  3. If you have trouble finding them, I have the "Dillon blue" plastic rosette knobs for $1.50 each, plus $3 for shipping, no matter how many you buy. So... $4.50 for 1 knob, $9 for 4 knobs, $18 for 10 knobs, $21 for a dozen, and so on. I also have some red and BLACK ones if you want variety. :-) I'll take PayPal, discreet cash, or a USPS money order. Sorry, no personal checks. Send me a PM.
  4. No. Dillon has them. I have a few extras. PM me your address.
  5. Well... I just mailed 2 knobs. The postage was $2.07. They mail as a small package. They can't be mailed in a plain envelope with "a stamp or two." I drove to the store and bought the padded envelopes and the tape. Then I drove to the post office and waited in line. Yeh. I must be making a killing.

  8. 97074 is not the part number for the case feeders that include a casefeed plate. They are 21079 (SP) 21080 (LP) 21082 (SR) and 21081 (LR). I think you got what the guy had to sell... I don't believe he ripped you off. Hopefully you got it for a good price, since you have to buy the plate separately.
  9. Didn't you sell your 650 to buy a 1050? :-)
  10. All conversion parts and dies are the same. So the short answer is yes.
  11. I don't know which economics books you've been reading professor, but I think that's exactly what the law of supply and demand explains. ... it is our need for instant gratification. Our refusal to wait our turn. ... THAT is the demand in Supply and Demand!
  12. Which feeling are you referring to? Your post doesn't really make sense without some additional information or a quote.
  13. You need the "primer track bearing" to compensate for the extra height added by the failsafe bracket under the shellplate platform. If you don't have a failsafe bracket, you don't need the "bearing"... which is really just a spacer.
  14. If you can thread them in and adjust them to the correct seating depth, they will work fine. The 9mm seating stems are usually much longer than the 38 seating stems. Try it. If they work, you're in business.
  15. In operation, no. But... the black ones have a coating on them when they came from Dillon... I've heard it helps slow or reduce wear. If I had a choice, I would pick the black ones. You probably wouldn't notice any difference unless you loaded hundreds of thousands every year, year in and year out.
  16. Last I heard, the rebuild was about $175, plus I think they charge you for ALL the parts. I guess it depends on what condition YOU think it's in... PLUS... they are buried in work. It may take them a while to get to it.
  17. Mine was in a recess buried in the box. Did you take everything out?
  18. I called Dillon about this recently. The dies are different. 38 ACP dies will not work on 9mm and vice versa. Everything else in the conversion kit id the same however. You just need the three 9mm dies. FYI, 38ACP dies will, of course work for 38 Super.
  19. Because all 3 dies had carbide inserts, among other things...
