  1. No problem, I just like to keep that content on my website only.
  2. Please remove copyrighted material from post #2 above. A link to the article is ok.
  3. I am surprised you got that out of the article, that is not the point I was trying to make at all. What I was saying is that you want your gun to be setup to point naturally to where you want it to hit. You will then use your sights to adjust point of aim if needed. If you set your gun up properly to fit you, you will have to adjust your aim less.
  4. Usually if you only have one screw left you can rotate the whole mount a little to get the screw started. Once it starts to move you can usually remove it pretty easily.
  5. We will be there and look forward to seeing you.
  6. You might try them after you re-do the crimp. I do cut the throat long so they may work with the right crimp. I would be interested to see if that fix works.
  7. If you want to send me the barrel and several of your loaded rounds I can throat it for you so they will work. When I tune the HP Edges I throat them so they should work with most moly bullets but your particular load may take a little more throat than normal. Before you do this make sure you have cleaned the chamber well, especially around the edge of the chamber just before the rifleing.
  8. You need to take off 0.125 inch total. I take off 0.070 on each side just to be safe.
  9. One or more of your magazines are hitting the ejector. You will most likely to see a mark on the offending mags.
  10. Sorry, I guess that won't work - we don't export. I would use a prick punch to raise a couple of dimples in the slide and the bottom of the sight and then use locktite 620 as suggested above.
  11. Sorry, that is not a service we offer. The racker comes with detailed instructions, including a list of the cutters required, that any gunsmith or machinist should be able to follow.
  12. Send it back to me I will replace it at no charge - just don't mess up the replacement.
  13. I don't do work on guns unless they are purchased from us. It has been that way for probably 10 years at least and will continue that way for the foreseeable future.
  14. We are in the process of filling all the backorders and have some 40 cal 140mm magazines left over (might take a day or two to fill your order - we have to get the backorders out first). For those with backorders - thanks for your patience and your orders will be shipping in the next couple of days. All tuned magazines are now in stock. We have tubes available in 38-140mm, 38-170mm and 40-140mm, also lots of magazine components if you want to make your own.
  15. I have not tried them. We provide load data with the purchase of a gun. Send me an e-mail and I will get the info to you.
  16. We do not stock them with sight cuts. We do have some bare one's and also some that have the lightning slide cuts (which include sight cuts)
  17. I have updated the website at http://www.1911store.com to indicate current stock status on 2011 magazines and tubes. We don't have everything in stock yet but we are getting there. All tuned magazines will be in stock within 10 days I am processing tubes right now.
  18. You can pop the bottom cover off and then put it back on and it should go on flat. One of the edges is not in the channel.
  19. Mike, yours are backordered because we ran out of tuned 38/140. We have your tuned 170's if you want me to split the order.
  20. None in stock right now. Got lots on order. You might want to order some and get on the backorder list - the longer you wait the further back you will be. If we do get any they will go to the people on that list first.
  21. We still have 38 super 140mm mags, no 9mm yet but we have a lot on order (more than we have orders for). We are taking backorders.
  22. We have 9 - 126mm 45 tubes and 2 - 140mm tubes as of right now.
