First off I'm 18years old, it all started when I was at a local sporting goods store when I picked up a brochure on a Sporting Association. So I showed it to my dad who was also interested but we did not know much about handguns only hunting rifles and just moved from a heavly populated city to a more rural area so new things were available to do. Anyway I talked my dad into buying a pistol (G-17) and we took the Basic NRA pistol course then found out about IDPA I started shooting that. My first match was the second time I ever shot a handgun it was always natural to me I started to really get into it and win. Then I found USPSA wow I am I hooked now. This is my second year shooting. I am really happy I took a look at that brochure.

My parents bought me a new G35 and cr speed race holster, belt, mag pouches, ETC....... Cant wait to start shooting Limited.

Wow I asked IDPA the same Question about a year ago about the extended mag and slide release. They told me that it was not allowed. Now there telling you the complete opposite. It is still good news to hear.

WTF I guess I wont be going. 7 days plus travel. I dont think my parents would like me missing a week of college classes. I really would like to shoot at the nationals, but they made that almost impossible for most youger people and juniors. RH

That is very funny stuff. Cant wait to tell that at the hunting camp.

Been there done that. Last month at an IDPA match they had a stage of 6 plates on the left to shoot weak hand, 6 plates on the right to shoot strong hand, then in the middle through a port were I think 3 paper targets to shoot free style. Oh ya the best part it was 15 yards. The plates were 6 inches in diameter I think. So i also would like to hear what are some tips are on weak hand shooting.

Bob Vogel was in my group at the indy sectional. He was using what looked to be a sti executive. I think that Glocks can compete with any guns out there, and dont forget you spend 1/3 the price.

Heard about IPSC/USPSA when I started shooting IDPA. Over heard guys in my squad talking about how it is so much better than IDPA. So I tried it out. Now I am hooked. RH
