  1. Do a search...topic has been covered. I know cause I did my own and it is really weird with the two nuts. But JP instructions are clear...follow them to the T and it will be fine. And remember the red loc tite.
  2. ? Hard to explain but since they are insulated with clay, they are efficient at burning lump charcoal. I can do 4 hours of baby back ribs at 215 degrees and only use about 2 lbs of lump. Brisket this weekend...12+ hrs,
  3. What brand is that? How are the Green Egg (or that thing) for grilling veggies? Brian-called the char-griller kamado. It'll cook everything. http://www.lowes.com/pd_131712-49769-6719_4294857761__?productId=3609214&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&pl=1¤tURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo=
  4. You are next on the wait list. What about Katie, isn't she traveling with you? Doug I was going to give Miss Harris a rise from the airport but I don't think Joe has finalized her travel plans yet either. One spot to go, eh? Screw it I'm booking flights for Saturday thru Wednesday. Somebody will be a no show at game time. Plus I really want to shoot that night match. I have already reserved a Police Helicopter with one if those big spot lights to fly over me when I shoot at night. I'd hate to miss the look on Chuck's face when he sees me game the dark. if you really wanna game it Jesse, I'd bring Parachute illumination flares for each stage. I know chuck is...
  5. instead of drinking the cult $900 egg, i found this version to be as good or better, and a third the price.
  6. I thought the same thing when Chris sent them to me. I was hoping for a nice short rule set. When I actually tried to go in and cut stuff out that I thought wasn't needed...well there really wasn't much there to cut. How about some constructive criticism? What 30 pages can be removed. Keep in mind this is a rule set that needs to be used for everything from National Championships with a dedicated staff to the small local matches that might not have the veteran 3 gun staff that can pull on past experience or old USPSA rules for rulings and decisions. Sent mine to Chris. One of the strangest things I saw was in the appendix sections governing division firearms. Reading them word for word, the implication is if you do not have a "factory produced" rifle, you are in open division. In other words if you built your own using company a's lower and company b's upper, it isn't a factory produced rifle. That can't be the intention. But clearly, the appendixes state rifles must be factory produced for all divisions except open. Or maybe I had too much beer last night.
  7. Most of it is re-hashed pistol rules. Coulda been about 15-20 pages, max. Nothin new and exciting here.
  8. Been a year now-still free. Will never go back.
  9. belt coming off during a handgun stage ain"t no thang. in 3 gun, with a pistol IN THE HOLSTER, hot or not, is a scary thing. i assume the gun was not hot, but have no clue how it didn't break 180. http://www.britinusa.net/mov/2012comgdon.mov
  10. Dude-just got the call for a slot to the NW multigun. I can't make it now, so you should move up the wait list to #2 or so. Will try to get Doug to give you mine.

  15. Never store tubes of Capzacin HP and Preparation H in the same cabinet. In fact, don't even have 'em in the same room!
  16. The Samsung Galaxy S II is about as close as you can get to an iPhone. But the Galaxy S3 is getting ready to be released soon. An even better phone. Samsung makes the best non-Apple phones available. I have a Samsung Droid Charge & as crazy fast & smooth & abloe to multitask as it is with the single-core processor as it is, I can't even imagine how smooth & slick the new Galaxy S3 will be. Oh and Brian, do yourself a favor and forget the touch-typing that comes with the stock Samsung keyboard. I too have FFD (Fat Finger Disease) .... and start learning how to Swype! It comes standard now with all new smart phones, probably because the smart phone industry realized how amazingly simple & intuitive it is to learn how to Swype. I actually got a lot better at touch typing by just holding the phone with my left hand and stabbing the keyboard with my left index finger. 20 times more consistent that double-thumbing it. But, unless I'm in a spot where I'll look silly talking to my phone in a slow monitone voice... I got the voice to text functioning today - it is the shit! It's amazing how accurate it is right out of the gate. For an iPhone, does it take an app for that phone to do that? be Yep-part of the iOS. Plus Siri is just plain fun.
  17. Moved to the Oregon coast 3 months ago. Unbelievable amount of BS to go thru...banks are scared to death loaning money to build in a tsunami area. Counties, cities all in it to rip you off for a bunch of studies and permits. Had to spend $2,200 to have a study done telling me my lot is sand. finally gonna break ground this Friday. Should be done by thanksgiving. Walking on the beach everyday will make it worth it.
  18. You will wish you had an iPhone...but yer closer than you were.
  19. The turn and draw movement is very simple. Remember 3 things. 1) always turn into the gun; 2) at the buzzer, snap your head hard to the targets; 3) turn, THEN draw. No one said you can't have your hand on the gun while turning...just don't draw!
  20. 930 parts are unobtanium. They have issues making enuf to put into guns. Sad, but true.
  21. Not in Tactical and Limited and my R&R Saiga with a 20 round mag pretty much can rule a shotgun course of fire if I do my part in open. Pat "rule?". Guess i'll sell my old tube gun I love my R&R Saiga. It helped me to get 6th place on a all shotgun stage at the Texas Multi Gun match. 9x23 guy got 4th on that stage using my Saiga out of 52 open shooters. The shotgun is what gave us a lot of stage points. Its almost like cheating when shooting against tube gunners. Just got done with a match this last weekend and 9x23 guy managed to beat all the tube guns and xrails with my R&R getting 1st in open and overall match winner. I came in 4th. On this stage had a brain fart and did not check to make sure the mags were both fully loaded but still had a ok stage time. I seriously believe tube guns are on the way out the door in open. A good magazine gun can make a novice shooter competative with some of the best shooters using tube guns. OK pat, i'll take the challenge-next 3 gun match we're both at, you're on.
