Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I love the natural terrain stages and all the long range targets. I had a great time shooting as always. It's hard work to put on a match like this so thank you one and all! A special shout out to the Ro's on stage 9...thanks so much..... I had a blast!
  2. Whoop! Whoop! What a fantastic match! I can't Thank Doug and Scotty enough for all they and their crew did. Best run match I have ever been to! Ken Nelson thanks for no more paper cuts! Practiscore is a huge advancement. As a regular Squad Mom, it is nice not to chase down scoresheets & shooters on every stage! Robert and RJ thanks for all you guys did with the transfers. What a generous way to give back! Thanks to all the RO's ......you did a fantastic job! Especially stage 2 for the use of Sasquatch.... he brought some joy to the shooting videos we filmed! Thanks to the MGM for my prize booty! Yes, I will be back, and yes my Squad is always poised and ready to sing a birthday song when needed! Can't wait for 2014! Have the best day ever! Heidi
  3. Fantastic match!!! Awesome RO's and probably the best squad ever! Thank you to Warne Tactical for my new scope mount!!! And the BBQ You guys rock! Thanks to all of you that gave so much so we could play! You have to love this sport to put on a match you "hate" and I am greatful that you continue to do it.
  4. This was tons of fun!!! I thought it ran well. The prize table rocked and it was great to see so many shooters enjoying the match. Thanks to everyone who had anything to do with this grand event. I would love to see this happen next year.
  5. Fantastic match!!! I am still talking about stage 2 to anyone who will listen. I think the gals at work think I'm crazy.... Scott and Doug did a very professional job. So worth the money I spent to attend. Can't thank the RO's enough for their time. And Brenda you did a great jod too!!! Thanks to MGM ....travis my thank u is in the mail, next generation arms, crimson trace, and all the other sponsors! U guys rock!!! Can't wait to do it again!!!
  6. Another fantastic year! I loved the new stages even though I forgot my kneepads on the “Whack-a-mole” stage. I send a huge thank you to all the RO’s, Tony T and the stats people, Eric, Travis, Mike and the entire Gibson Family for everything they do for this match and the sport of 3 Gun! Can't wait until next year, cuz my fun meter is still pegged~!
  7. Trapr help me understand something. With smaller targets out to 200 yrds in awkward positions I still am holding on the target to get my hit vs. 300+ now have to dope my sites and calculate conditions. What I am I missing...oh ya hold still. Sight offset is less of an issue under 200 yrds. For me the challenge lies in the POA past 300 yd. As for new shooters I was one of those once and I had to shoot irons out to 300 yrds, I didn’t get discouraged I got a scope.
  8. I agree that more long range shots are needed at matches. 2 or 3 stages with targets out to 400+ makes for a challenge. That is not to say you need to have more than a 2 or 3 targets out to that range, but a good mix of short and long shots separates out the hosers. I like to be pushed out of my comfort zone. I pack long and short range ammo because experience has taught me to be prepared, that conditions change, and even when you think you know you don't. More long range thats my vote
  9. I had a great time at this match. Thank you Greg, Linda and all the RO's like Scott, Mike, Ben and Nancy for working hard so we could come out and play. I had the best time and even learned a few new things. The food, the stages, the people all top drawer. Thanks to all the sponors and to Mark Otto for fixing my holster. Stage 3 rocked! It's nice to have targets out to 450 yards. Looking forward to next year.
  10. What mags does the POF use? It uses the DPMS / SR25 and Magpul design.
  11. I am super excited about this Match It sounds like a fantastic fun time......plus I am out of Dillo Dust and need to restock.
  12. I was wondering the same thing. Also when you look at the ST scores, there isn't any 100 point winner on stages 3, 6, and 10. I think this one could affect the overall scores, but don't know for sure. By the way, thanks for posting the scores 3gungal! Sorry I didn't get to chat with you while I was there. Take care. Adios, TG Yes. We in stats questioned this time as well but on close exam of the white sheet that was the score that came into stats.....so that is the score we recorded. Funny thing but the guy who received that score, he fell asleep in his car during awards and didn't wake up until awards were almost over. He did walk the prize table but after everyone in his division had walked. Funny how things work out. TG I am sorry I missed you too. Craig and I will see you at MGM next year for sure!!! Hope you had a good time.
