  1. Cool.. what's the procedure for the two-box stages? on "the trap", start in left box-you can't see the stop plate, so the other box is for that plate. for "inner limits", just like outer limits-2 left from left box, vice versa. for "hop, skip & jump", same deal, start in left box, can't see one plate.

    Which one?

leopard ankle sprain or sucking chest wound
  3. what's truely astounding is that anything stays to gether...we're talking 330+ revolutions every second! now wonder common valve springs didn't cut it. and if you think that's amazing, think of the speed of the transmission changes.
  4. here's a bunch i've shot over the years... old.pdf
  5. canon fs100...check it out. rediculously light-all digital and SD cards are cheap...$325 or so right now.
  6. lol.. dream on.... I have been told twice over the last week, that due to some quirk on CA's laws, it is legal to purchase replacement parts for existing magazines and the parts do not have to be on an apples to apples basis. Some dealers have jumped all over this and are shipping unassembled high capacity magazines as 'replacement' kits to CA. This has apparently been going on for quite some time. I have not researched this yet, but it would seem to be an opportunity. Anyone from CA have any knowledge of this? I kow it is going on big time, but am curious as to the legality. definitely testing the waters...

  8. available to us poor saps in kalifornia?
  9. here's the weekly crude vs gas prices from 1997. take a look at the last few months and you'll see what everyone's talking about. huge drops in oil, but not the corresponding reduction in gas prices. you can look back and see it's not gonna catch up to the pump prices-it never has. Oil2Gas.pdf

jim...hurry up and send these to kalifornia!
  11. for flying-definitely one that holds both and the pistol.
  12. $3.29 this morning out here on the left coast. based on the price of oil dropping almost 50%, gas should be about $2.26 a gallon now. but that ain't gonna happen-time to gouge. i better be quiet of someone will accuse me of a hate crime.
  13. been playing with ballistic software for some time and it has been very useful. but until this past week, i had no idea how so. spent a whole day at the range playing with loads and testing scope BDC. decided to actually shoot the distances that i was so curious about relative to the ballistics tables i had been using. set up targets from 100 out to 325, in 25 yd increments. i'll be damn-those programs don't lie! nothing like actually verifying what those little bullets do over that distance. i walked away with a profound appreciation of the program and all the variables. little things like temperature, and downrange velocity all make sense now. and when i hit the next 3 gun stage where targets are at a specific distance, i will know, without a doubt, where those rounds will hit at those distances. i strongly recommend taking a day and trying the same. you will walk away with a confidence that might have been lacking before you were able to prove it to yourself. yea, it's boring and time consuming, but definitely worthwhile,
  14. wonder if they'll be outlawing these hi-cap vans...

  16. and let it be known albany is the locale of the 2006 3 gun nationals, so there is a connection...
  17. this thread is useless without a video!! been there, done that...you can actually hear the shot rolling down the barrel...
  18. As someone at least a little involved with the 06 in Albany I can honestly say, you are totally wrong. USPSA was very involved in that match. To the point the MD has refused to do another Nationals since until the staff at USPSA is changed. USPSA involvement was not a good thing. i actually thought the nationals in albany was great. stages were tough, but fair. match ran smoothly except for calling hits on stage s in the front bays. all & all i enjoyed albany. mike and all those involved (including chuck) made it work just fine, as far as i was concerned.
  19. if you've thrown in a different disconnector, is the slide new? disconnector notch not deep enuf? chuck that slide on one of your 5" frames.
  20. hey, it's norco! if you haven't shot a match at norco, that comment won't make any sense. in defense of my socal buddies, i won't go there.

    Whoops!

    just had to share...
  22. now that's an idea...they just did this with the steel challenge too.
  23. maybe, but then it will be like R & R-where hi-cap 9's and steel loads were a great idea. i don't really care about all the different rules. just read 'em and deal with 'em. come to think of it, i hate changing my shotgun tube from 14 rounds back to 10 a couple times a year.
  24. ok-maybe it's time to step forward and help. my area director, chris endersby, is an avid 3gun shooter. i've shot a number or club, area and nationals with him. i know he wants this to work! maybe it makes sense for USPSA to look within and outside to fix the problems. i'll be sending chris my idea, but essentially, it would be to meet with match directors of our "outlaw" matches to get down what works, what doesn't, how to, etc,. there needs to be a bona-fide 3gun or multigun committee in uspsa to fix what's wrong. from there, maybe things can rise to the top and it can be dealt with by the board. i'll offer my time as i'd like the nationals to be THE event.
