  1. Yep....the check weights are wayy cheaper (and quicker) than purchasing a 2nd (beam) scale simply for verification.
  2. Lifting that high doesn't do a whole lot for you assuming you even use it for off-road purposes. You're still limited by the clearance of the differentials. Unless you're parked directly on top of a freakin' peak you're just wasting your time, money, and GAS! Singlestack...I think tire size is inversely proportional to something else, too!!
  3. Guess we need a written rule for everything. Rule 900.2.1: Shooters are allowed to consume beverages between turns 2.2: To drink, shooters must raise cup/bottle to lips and tilt head back. 2.3: It is shooters option to swallow aforementioned beverage. Bottom line. Don't point guns at other people or yourself whether they are loaded or not. I do like these rules discussions, though
  4. Limp wristing shouldn't cause the extractor to release the case that early....it might get stuck, but should never leave it any distance in the chamber. I would check the sharp edge/shoulder on your extractor and make sure that little right-angle isn't filled in with goop and see if that helps. Sometimes, it's not fully locking into place on the extractor groove on the case because it's so gummed up. Another possibility is that half (or more) of the extractor has sheared off. (the part that locks into the extractor groove on the case). This happened to my dad and we didn't realize what happened until we took a closer look. Sure enough, the lip on the extractor was barely there. It either wasn't extracting at all or extracting it part way just as you describe. Let us know what it ends up being!
  5. Soccer? This was a baseball game . . . OOPS!!! Crossed my mind with something else I was reading.
  6. I bet nobody voted for her because they assumed she would not get eliminated. She has been laying down solid performances every show......America dropped the ball on this one. They forgot that it's not about the judges anymore...it's about the nationwide votes. I thought Ryan Seacrest's comment about still watching the show was pretty funny. The producers probably freaked out because they're gonna lose ALOT of viewers as a result of that one. Glad Scottie's still in it, though. His performance of that Elvis song was pretty darn good!!!! Then again, I'm a sucker for the country type.

    Which one?

MATCHES, but since I have to choose one, I'd say AIR FRESHENER. Straight lead or moly coated? (hope that one's not been done before)
  8. Look through them before you buy them. I think you'd be hardpressed to EASILY see bullet holes at 500yds depending on your eyepiece even with the high end scopes. I will say, the Leicas are beyond "top shelf", they are the "shelf in the back" that the owner of the liquor store shows you after he gets to know you.
  9. We have a local brewery in my town that makes pretty good beer (High Desert Brewery), but about 2hrs away in a neighboring town, they have a red lager that is some of the best beer I've ever tasted!! Most red lagers I've tried are lacking in the flavor department period, this one just has a perfect balance. The brewery is Socorro Springs Brewery in Socorro, NM and they just call it the "Red Lager". Seems like they usually have it on tap, so it must be popular. They don't bottle (to my knowledge), so you have to visit and drink it there or take a growler/keg home. Next time you're taking I-25 through New Mexico, stop and have one for lunch.....they serve food too.
  10. If I don't see this tallywhacker surface soon, I'll lose what little respect I had for soccer fans. Somebody knows who did this. Shame on them if they don't come forward.
  11. But I tried New Belgium's Ranger IPA and every sip is a mouthful of hoppy goodness! Clean finish despite all the hops.....not bitter......HOPPY like it should be. Reds and Lagers will remain some of my favorites. SHARE YOUR FAVORITE BEER OR IPA! If you only like local stuff, indicate whether it is sold in stores so we can all try it!
  12. I have my 1911 set at 2.5lb crisp (maybe a tad under that). It is PERFECT (in my opinion) and gives me the lightness needed to make quick shots as well as the time needed to hold back if necessary. Try some friend's out and find what you like, but keeping it crisp is the biggie.
  13. Everyone who said to put it down is dead wrong. Whales aren't like domesticated dogs that can be FULLY trained, they are wild despite their training and cannot be punished for something they don't know is wrong. The mistake was in the beginning wen they captured them, not now when they act on instincts. Don't get in the water with them and you're fine. I will say, after being at sea world recently, the shamoo show is FREAKIN BORING with nobody in the pool. Just a bunch of environmentalist BS, music, and trainers standing on the edge of the tank giving hand motions for shamoo to swim around and splash the 1st 10 rows
  14. You will love reloading! For the 30-06, get a redding competition powder measure and a long powder die....will mount right up to the dillon. Lyman makes decent trimmers as well as cas prep tools.....don't need anything too fancy there, just uniform tools and repeatability. As for media removal, after tumbling, tumble again in clean, untreated corncob for 30-45min. Shiny and clean....ready for the sizer. You'll have to size then tumble, then prime in 3 separate steps with the '06 Good luck! Ton of resources here!
  15. LOL! Never heard that one before, but my last job sounds about like what you're dealing with. Find polite ways and loopholes to make him look like the idiot.
  16. I recommend checking out the Kowa TSN series spotters. The 600's and 800's are the bees knees for the price point. You will see 30 cal at 300yds, but any farther than that, you're looking at the Leicas. Even then, you won't get much further (especially on a hot day). As for spotting shoot-and-sees, you might be able to get a ways out there with a good spotter. Beware of those high power eyepieces on low end spotters...the clarity goes to pot pretty quick.
  17. This type of stuff sickens me...I'm a huge baseball fan but if the sport is going to attract these gangsters and turn into the football fan crowd, I might have to find another sport with a different following, like badminton or polo.
  18. Good suggestions, but be careful doing too much of the box on the ground thing. Before I got competitive, I did that for years. Nothing weirder than shooting level after years of ground practicing.
  19. HOLY BUCKETS! You'd definitely feel that in the hand/shoulder region!
  20. If you're seeing bullet setback, then yes, you WILL need to crimp. Nothing wrong with that, but it's just unfortunate because it forces you to trim the length of every case so that the amount of crimp is uniform. I typically switch bullets (or sizing dies) WAYYYY before I'm forced to trim cases. JMO
  21. DANG IT!! I was scrolling down reading what everyone typed and was going to type this. I think you got it, bro. I got nothin' after you posted that.
  22. Erik S.

    Which one?

Neither on a GOOD steak, but A1 otherwise. cotton shirt or poly jersey shirt for match day?
  23. Erik S.

    Which one?

Drink it like a man!! No need for salt and lime/soda Red or Green Enchiladas?
  24. One more day!! Awaiting an update from Brian to see if anyone got it.
