  1. A big concern there would be primer degradation. The ammo once loaded and NOT fired but stored for a month or so, may or may not fire.
  2. That's not altogether true. I had tried many things, except the polishing, and the aquarium pump did the trick.
  3. Me too with 9mm and 40 S&W. Had my CasePro100 for 12 years.
  4. @pskys2 and @PatJones You guys cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh.
  5. If you shoot PPC, the trigger pull on SA is 2.5# and a 14# rebound spring is what you will need.
  6. The other option, I used, was to add a square of 0.010" shim stock between the spring and the screw.
  7. Instead of oil, I would add a little antiseize compound to the threads.
  8. Based on the chrono, I wouldn't trust the ammo for a match where chrono is used. You might give 7 rds that are 102PF.
  9. They lost him a few years back because somebody in the organisation didn't like him. So sad. I knew he was shooting USPSA but didn't know that he was a Director.
  10. Exactly! Ted did great postal matches and the 2 Nationals the he run. All by the rulebook.
  11. I've shot indoor matches that had a fair amount of movement. We used to have decent postal matches 10 years or more ago, with way better stages.
  12. Why not just load your own? If you don't reload - yet - then use what you can find mainly for the brass.
  13. More - yes. Better - not necessarily - a lot of them don't follow their own rules (read illegal stages.)
  14. My Wife and I are running Ready Tactical holsters and speedloader pouches and IMO they are the best. These were purchased from Chris Patty at Shooters Connection. Thanks Chris. A search has come up with zero results for the revolver holsters and pouches, Comp Tac has a very good revolver holster and the pouches look OK. \If you go Comp Tac, you will need the #6 speedloader pouch for the Comp III's.
  15. No one has said that it isn't.
  16. It was something that PPC shooters did in the '80's and possibly the '70's. Power Custom and Murray Charlton did it, along with PPC gunsmiths. You were able to back off the strain screw to make the trigger pull lighter.
  17. My closest is over 200 miles.
  18. Only 1 indoor range in the area and it about 17' wide. We want to build an indoor range but the cost of the ventilation system is what is stopping us.
  19. The width of stage 1 is 34' 4". Stage 2 19' '. Stage 3 13' and 4 about 11'.
  20. Ha Ha Ha! You nob, I snorted when I read this.
  21. I don't think so! When was the last time you helped set up a major match, shoot and work it in -30F weather? Been there done that, no more.
  22. In the north I wouldn't set up a match when there's a foot or more of snow on the range floor, nor at 14 degrees or less.
  23. I looked at the stages, and yes, they are boring. I hope they don't use any of these for the classifier. They should bring back the old 90 rd classifier as it gave you a better metric of your ability.
  24. IMO the fish gills were a love hate thing. Me, either or. I love the RTF2 frame. It gives me a nice grip plus the gun doesn't move in the hand when shooting. I also use the standard Gen 3 frame which I like. I achieve my grip in the holster before drawing, because I wear the holster in the same position, all of the time, and know where the gun is in relation to my hand.
  25. April through June/July would have been smarter then everyone could play.
