  1. A strong crimp also helps it burn cleaner.
  2. Tried the new SG timer Go, but it had to much going on and has to used with your cell phone. Also it not water proof.
  3. I came back to Florida 40 years ago from California, my cost of living was cut in half, but today that's not true. So, good luck on your quest, the Ocala area is beautiful, but everyone in the United State's is trying to move there too. The condominiums laws will change in 2025, so if that's something you were thinking about, please check those out too. The match in St. Augustine moved to Jacksonville, but it's off of US 301, so the range is easy to get too, but still about 75 miles from Ocala.
  4. Please, check out the home owners insurance if you plan to come. Have you ever lived in Florida because the only thing we have in common with Washington State, is the fact we are both States.

  6. When I started in 1988 an old guy told me to write down everything, but it did take me about a year to move the log book to open office cal. I did use another 100 Fiocchi's last night without any problems.
  7. They worked for me, just like any other primer.
  8. Anyone have a load for 38 short colt using 231 and a 158 grain lead bullet for shooting USPSA?
  9. That deep for a taper crimp, in an automatic you would loose your head spacing capacity, but in a revolver with moon clips that would not be as important.
  10. Why don't you use a tapered crimp, with a bullet without a crimp grove?
  11. Some people just like Rugers, your mileage may very.
  12. You may want to hang on to it, for when Large Pistol Primers are not manufactured anymore.
  13. The SA's have worked well for me. Loaded 9,200 so far.
  14. I have good luck with parts on GP's but in 35 years of shooting GP's I have only needed a few parts. I like Rugers Fishbreath, your videos are outstanding and I have enjoyed watching them.
  15. Your best option is to send it back to Ruger, unfortunately most of the hammers are fitted especially the early GP100's from the 1980's.
  16. The real is case feeder is not that great had one and sold it.
  17. What your experiencing is normal, so you just need to step back for a while and relax, but don't sell your equipment because after you relax for a while you will get the shooting bug again.
  18. With the coming of the New Garmin, Labradar is going to be on the struggle bus shortly. So, Midway and Brownells are trying to move them as fast as possible, so they don't get stuck with them.
  19. Yep, every spray can in your house is a potential fire waiting to happen, so I store everything with that in mind. Fire marshal was talking to about smokeless powders, he explained how dangerous the powders were, then I explained it would take 4000 pounds of smokeless powder to equal the gasoline in two cars in a residential garage. Being 10 gallons of gasoline = 1000 pounds of smokeless powder in latent explosive energy. Between the two vehicles 40 gallons of gasoline equals almost 4,000 pounds of powder. Robert Rinker, Understanding Firearms Ballistics
  20. If you talk to them on the phone, you will definitely understand the response you got, they are on the struggle bus with their equipment.
  21. I would love to have a Lab Radar, but I can't justify the cost in my head. I use a chronograph about two or three times a year.
