  1. seems like you could rotate that press 90 degrees and double your output <insert rim-shot>
  2. read the book, much better than pride and prejudiced and zombies, hopefully will see it tomorrow
  3. heavier buffers should slow your bcg down some and increase your dwell time. I use a spike's heavy in my ar15 but never tried one in a 308, for that I have a jp silent spring now and it's much nicer than a standard buffer/spring and feels softer shooting to me
  4. when they make a movie about a lobster the size of a hippo seeking revenge on a small city in maine let me know
  5. I use eezox on my jp stainless barrel but it's pretty low humidy here in west texas. I plan on cerakoting a couple ar's before too long.
  6. come on mil-surp pricing................
  7. have one on they way for a Maten build (waiting for the final boxes 'o parts), I believe that there was a removable piece to transition from carbine to rifle size. olp73, jp's spring system is self contained buffer/spring assembly that drops in and out without the retainer pin and spring. It's designed to run super quiet. http://www.jprifles.com/1.4.7.2_os.php
  8. need more info on the rifle and the scope, lots of different model 700's
  9. very small powder charge, very light charge and oversized bullet. squib means there wasn't enough force to push the projectile out of the barrel I'm guessing he didn't check that one. I run an rcbs lockout die and have a mechanics mirror and shop light over the bullet seating stage to visually and mechanically verify ever round has a proper charge.
  10. nice to have you aboard, there's quite a wealth of information here and the search bar will quickly become your best friend.
  11. brian sells a digital one that has done very good by me and has lasted a few years now without issue (also pretty cheap) I also have a 505 scale I use occasionally. price range and preference beam or electric?
  12. That's awful. Even as a joke. yeah you'd need way bigger than a 22lr to take care of the neighbors
  13. loading 40 today and as I checked my loads started drifting down just a hair, about .1gr. couldn't figure it out and shortly after my powder measure stopped throwing a charge completely. I check every case with a powder cop die and visually with a mirror/light setup so nothing empty got by but I found my connector body collar roller on the workbench. I reinstalled it and made sure everything was running properly and it's fine now. which brings me to my question, I have toolheads w/ powder measures for 9/40/45/223 and the 40 has had the bellcrank screw try to walk out multiple times and now the connector body collar screw has obviously tried to make a run for it, what's the deal with this setup. None of the others give me issues like this and they get about as much action. Dillon has just mailed me a new version of the connector body collar assembly for this powder measure (always great customer service.)
  14. a gorilla suit and a coffee can full of coins usually stops the barking, those dogs won't act right for weeks if the solution is applied properly.
  15. the undersized die is a lee die is the u-die, egw gets lee to make the die for them special
  16. I starting running a lee undersized sizer on my 650 and it fixed the 1-20 that wouldn't fit the case gauge. not so much on the sdb........ however it is always time for a 650xl and this sounds like a reasonable excuse, order one quick before you accidentally correct your problem and miss the opportunity.
  17. always wondered, I've found a 200gr TC in a case of 230gr rn from one company, a 158gr swchp in a box of 148gr hbwc and now that 9 I must only use these powers for good..................
  18. pulled a 9mm fmj out of my 40sw box, just curious how often you people find a random round of different caliber in your bullet orders
  19. tease, lets hear about your new love
  20. don't see an issue being created there
  21. I feel cheated for some reason...............
  22. welcome, always nice to see new members
  23. uplula makes great loaders, thumbs will thank you
  24. I run a tr24 on my AR, I sighted with the tip of the triangle dead center of target at 50 and confirmed at 200 with no issues. 6 O'clock has always been a shooting at one known distance or bullseye style thing for me
