  1. ROs - report tomorrow morning no later than 6:45 am. Have your stage ready to shoot by 7:00.
  2. Wait what? My wife has to pay $5 to come watch me shoot? I believe the admission fee is going to benefit the Pacific Combat Living History Program, part of the National Museum of the Pacific War in Frederickburg, TX. Some of the proceeds may go to other organizations, I am not 100% sure where it is going.
  3. Also, spectators are more than welcome all 3 days. There is no charge on Friday and Saturday, but there will be a $5 admission fee on Sunday. (WWII Demonstration Day)
  4. Schedule of Events Friday - Shooters meeting @ 7:15 am. Shooting starts at 7:30 am. Scheduled to wrap up 7:40 pm. Saturday - Shooters meeting @ 7:15 am. Shooting starts at 7:30 am. Scheduled to wrap up 7:40 pm. Sunday - Shooters meeting @ 7:15 am. Shooting starts at 7:30 am. Scheduled to finish shooting 12:10 pm. WWII display, Final Scoring, Arbitration and Stage Tear Down starting @ 12:10 pm. 3 Gun Nation Shoot Off at 1:20 pm. Prize Table scheduled to start 2:30 pm.
  5. Easy to miss. Glad you brought it up. If you wondered, guarantee many others did too, or would later.
  6. Since non-IPSC paper targets are being used, it would be worthwhile to clarify the rules or at least add to the FAQ. There are only 2 perforated circles on the match targets, with considerably more excess paper outside the outer scoring ring than on an IPSC target. That may cause some confusion to anyone just working off the rules. Just a suggestion. Check rule 7.5 7.5 When a 3-Gun Nation Rifle and Pistol Target is specified as a shoot target: 7.5.1 For Open, Limited, and Tactical Divisions, the 3GN target must have either one (1) ”Center” hit in the 8” circle OR have (2) hits anywhere on the cardboard to avoid penalty. (a) Only one (1) hit on the cardboard and NO scoring hit in the 8” center circle is a 5 second penalty. ( Target engaged with no hits is a 10 second penalty. 7.5.2 For Heavy Tactical Division, (a) A designated rifle target must have one (1) hit anywhere on the cardboard to avoid penalty. Target engaged with no hits is a 10 second penalty ( A designated pistol target must have either one (1) ”Center” hit in the 8” circle OR have (2) hits anywhere on the cardboard to avoid penalty. Only one (1) hit on the cardboard and NO scoring hit in the 8” center circle is a 5 second penalty. 7.5.3 For WW2 Division, the 3GN target must have (1) hit anywhere on the cardboard to avoid penalty. (a) Target engaged with no hits is a 10 second penalty. 7.5.4 Target Not Engaged (TNE) penalty is the same as for IPSC targets.
  7. RULES FAQ just added to the website. Please read it, along with the rules. http://texasmultigun.com/txmg/faq_rules http://texasmultigun.com/Media/Default/Page/2012-TXMG%20CHAMP%20RULES-Rev5.pdf
  8. Anyone else doing anything special to honor our Vets during the match? Please post pics now or after the match. The Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal in my previous pic was my Grandfather's Colonel Joe F. "Big Daddy" Bourn Sr. HCT_556 asked me to post this for him.
  9. Scary thing is I wore the Shemagh across my face when it was really bad.
  10. I think all the wind got used up at the RO match. It was just FREE microdermabrasion!!! My skin is glowing.
  11. Is that the first email you received? The email I am referring to has all of your personal information on it, shirt size, space for who you want to squad with, etc... and then the body of the email is a waiver form. The email had the following at the top: I think I received mine in October. It should have been mailed in with your check/money order. I received a second email with the following in March. (copied below) This is not the email with the waiver info.
  12. Pull up the email you got from "postmaster@texasmulti-gun.com" This should be the email you received after you signed up on line. The waiver is in the body of the email, just print and sign.
  13. I shot these targets for the first time yesterday. I am not a strong pistol shooter, but had many more double A hits than usual. I like them. But then again I can have fun shooting st any target. Shooting stuff is fun.
  14. Reminder to everyone that shot the RO match. Please do not post any photos or video of the RO match until after the main match. Want it to be a surprise for everyone. Thanks.
  15. As noted above, there will be very limited check in/registration on Friday morning, but my understanding is that will close at 7:00 am We have 400+ shooters in the match, and need as many people as possible, 99%, to register Thursday night.
  16. Great day at the range today. RO's - Anyone that is able to help tomorrow, we will start working at 10:00 am. This is weather permitting. Anyone that can come help will be greatly appreciated.
  17. http://www.independencefirearms.com/ I have not been there, but it is supposed to be amazing. It is in Brenham if you come up 290.
  18. And the nearby Walmart at 183 and 1431 usually has birdshot.
  19. Updated rules. http://www.texasmultigun.com/Media/Default/Page/2012-TXMG%20CHAMP%20RULES-Rev4.pdf Changes Added 2.4.3a, edit 2.5.2 Edit 4.1 to allow steel jacket. Added 2.7.1e (coaching). 6.5.3.b Rifle sights ok on SG. Added that WW2 uses tac holster. Modify 6.5.1.a.iii to allow 8+1 in WW2 1911. Add 3.5 RO interference. Add 7.6.1.f REF calibration reshoot. Added buckshot being allowed, and 00B/12 and 3B/20. Added 7.5 3GN target scoring
  20. Please clarify this for me: do all shooters need to ''register' on Thursday? I thought my registration form and $275 got me registered. Do I need to be at the range Thursday? I wasn't planning on going to the range Thursday because I'm already 'registered'? Thanks Everyone needs to check in at the range Thursday. Registered may have been a poor choice of words. If you submitted your $$$, that registered your spot in the match. Everyone needs to "Check in/Register On Site" Thursday.
