  1. Belongs to a 1050. Located on the back/very bottom of the frame. It's generally just a stop.
  2. I pick up my 99% alcohol @ my local Safeway for $3.80 & my pure lanolin @ a local health food store for $8.99. My mix ratio is more like 13:1. I based my ratio to match Dillion's color - feels identical on the 1050.... All poured In to a 32oz industrial spray bottle - no more sore trigger finger when doing large batches!
  3. Indeed. I have a Redding Comp Die on every tool head I use to load. When I switch bullet types & I need to change the seating +/- .023 or whatever, just turn the micrometer accordingly & you're set.
  4. Indeed. I use 409 and a paint mixer on a drill to scrub it around in a bucket. Also, I let it dry outside for a day. It won't be completely dry but I'll go ahead throw it back in the Dillon tumbler along with some brass without the lid. It'll dry as its being used....
  5. I too own an Ultimate Sorter Model 4, just over a month old now. Sorted out 9 buckets in 1 day. As long as the cases aren't lodged together, there is a good chance they'll be separated in the hopper or down the tray. A 9 may miss its slot & end up in the 40 but as advertised the machine is not 100% perfect. You'll have to run the larger case bins a second time for better accuracy. I really don't see this a problem as the sorter can sort 1 entire bin in less than 5 minutes..... It's really fast. I sure don't miss the sore back, knees & hands from the old ways of the sorting trays....
  6. Had the same problem with my friends M&P 9. Didn't matter what ammo went in the gun. It came down to an old style firing pin. Old one is steel & black. New one/updated is either chrome or stainless.
  7. Oh my goodness I can't thank you enought for going out of your way & posting that picture All you guys here are AWESOME!!! Many thanks
  8. Just the answers I was looking/hoping for. Thank you both so much.
  9. So my dad found me all his old powder from years ago. Problem is I don't have any data on it. I have a total of 12lbs of this stuff still sealed. Anyone have any info on it?? Has it been re-labled as something else?? Is it exactly something else?? Any help would be much appreciated.
  10. Stumbled across this the other day. May be helpfull.
  11. My first press was a loadmaster. I was so frustrated with that thing due to primer issues unitll I figured it out-vibrations due to the casefeed actuator rod. Once I fixed the vibrations, retighten the shell plate nut & tool head nut every hundred rounds, it ran like a top. I was able to produce 1k rph of 45 acp. Yanking that handle isn't as fun as my 1050 but it's well worth it's weight in gold for way you pay.
  12. I started loading on a loadmaster in 45 acp. I was able to crank out 1000 rounds an hour on it. It's a pain in the ass to get it set up right. I didn't set it up to the owners manual recommendations but had to figure out for myself what it took to make it work. As long as you know what to look for and address it before problems arise, everything would be fine. The biggest problem I had with it was vibrations from the case feed rod/actuator assembly. It would cause primers to feed sideways. That and I had to keep an eye on the shell plate & tool head nuts from coming too loose from time to time. I no longer use the loadmaster as I switched to a 1050 (due to limited space & also started doing 9mm, 308, & 6.8 soon). The load master now just sits in one corner of my garage. Not a bad press for what you pay if you don't mind the head aches in the begining.
  13. Don't mean to be a prick for my first post but I think I have you beat. I bought a 1050 in .223 through Brian about a month ago. A week and a half later I bought a 9mm conversion for it. Now selling my Lee Load Master to fund a 45 conversion. Glad I found his site, made it cheap & easy!!!
