  1. Welcome Joe, like mentioned lotta info just ask plenty of great people...
  2. Oooooooooor, just stick with the dillon bullet puller! The550 is an easy set up to dial in, unless you plan on making a mistake one two many?!
  3. I think your fine,.i had a balance beam scale but got a digital scale shortly after cause it is faster . I use both at times to check my digital is droping the set charge or calibrated.
  4. I have 2 korean 33 mags, 2 sherrian(not sure if im spelling the name right) 29 rnds in my 40 and my 45Acp 25 rnd mags they are awesome to shoot, saves time reloading my mags so I can shoot more, thank God for Dillon... ya I'm sure you can't use extended mags in any comp.
  5. I have had a few moments like that when I 1st started, a few has come to mind like a over tighten screws that go under the primer tube and the primer bar would not move back into place
  6. +2 on taking Your time and not to force anything. call Dillon if they get stuck and they will send you a new one!
  7. Welcome Johnny, great place for info and good luck..
  8. Yup!! That is about right, mostly about #20
  9. That is great you pulled em, you might be out a few gn's of powder but atleast you got your brass bullets and most important your limbs and weapon s....
  10. I agree you don't have to wate for the digital scale to settle, you can always use the beam as a backup.. You want a good scalepay the money for a scale that has a good warranty I'm sure the weapons are well worth it..
  11. Maybe the range wants to collect the brass to resell, or want to use/exchange it for the reloads they sell to shooters. One indoor range I go to has bags of range pickup brass for sale to reloaders as an additional revenue stream. However they will allow you to pickup YOUR OWN brass. Another range (a distance away) will not allow you to bring your own ammo into the building. They claim it is for safety reasons. You are required to shoot their overpriced ammo and leave the brass (I don't go there). I second that! They want to make money and I am trying to save money... They don't understand some people have little babies and stuff.. :'( lol.... I'm still looking for a range near me who has brass for sale by me...
  12. http://www.brianenos.com/store/be.scale_hp.html I'm sure there are others but this "Lifetime Guaranty" you cnt beat that for the money! I bought one from Cabelas for 54 bux I ended up takin it back twice uprgrated and works well for 70bux I forget the model http://www.brianenos.com/store/be.scale_be.html Should have gottin this one! My Warrenty is up and this model has mor features and a better guaranty compared to what I got now... good luck on your search..
  13. +1 pull em! Better to correct a mistake then pay the price later. Imo if you weigh the cartrige it will weigh +/- and still not give youthe right weight even if the bullet weighs 124gr for example it. Sometimes can be off a tenth or if the brass might also be different in weight so don't go off the weight of the completed cartridge.... When I load I stay@ 50 completed cartridge test em take notes, cause I also read and heard of stories, I wonder that person is still pulling those loads? =-O
  14. I might have did the underfoot chasing, was kinda busy not sure if they would let me use that catcher that is in the dillon magazine I'm going to have to check.. with summer around the corner I will have time to figure what I will be able to use, a buddy is tellling me there is a out door range in Moroco Indiana (Willow Slooot something like that) he knows the range master there and his kid and said that they might let me take the brass in the 5gal buckets and what's cool they also shot rifle there too so I'm hoping they might let me borrow aa bucket our two.... :-\
  15. @Grump O'La,Lol.. my range won't let me pick up my brass, said if they see me they are gona have me booted out the place and this is the place closest to me that I can shoot in such a short notice that allows me too shoot my reloads... I emailed Mr Tony Hanson owner of the brassgrabber he never replied so I called em and asked about his product talke for a few but one thing gets me, if I would never had called would he even reply? Or if I was to place an order would I even get my produsct delivered? So be my Guinea pig and buy to see if it gets delivered! Lol... Tony said he's a one man company ill give him a call tomorro and put my order in or should I say ill order it from his wesite cause he can't take my order over the phone.... wish me luck and ill let you all know how it works.. I also told em his product is talked about on the forums so maybe he will chime in...!
