  1. Great machine, welcome to the forums!
  2. I dont think you should use that brass! Send it to me, and ill test em to see if trimming is needed..
  3. +1 All that you can get your hands on, to cross reference between your load data per caliber you are reloading for. I own atleast 4 hard copys and printed al I can find on the internet of the powders I used, start ALWAYS @ your starting loads suggested and you will be fine.good luck and be safe..
  4. Great choice!now the only thing is keeping up with supplies! Good luck and have fun..
  5. @Less, what about a 180gr bullet with Power Pistol? Have you not used it in your match's or is it to heavy of a bullet?
  6. +1. Juan is right. Take your time, keep shooting what you've got, and decide later - too soon to buy a new gun just yet - hold your cards, and make a better decision later, after You know what You want. Meanwhile, have fun. Jack +2.. But you can never have enough guns, been thinking of getting a 3rd job just to support my reloading and shooting habit s.. Lol...
  7. I'm from the Decatur area, central IL. I apologize if my posts are strange or wind up in the wrong areas as I'm still figuring out how to use this forum! 21, lets just blame it on the wind from the city.. Lol.. Welcome to the forums!
  8. I'm turning my 1lb jugs into stylish ear rings and chains in your choice of favorite powder jugs for $19.99 if anyone is interested!
  9. I found this one helpful. Yep his videos helped me get mine up and going. Yup same here... If you ask Dillon they might send you a free copy, dont ask me how I know. I watch the video and reference between the two..
  10. +1on the 650.. You sound like you will need a thousand or so for your matches and for practice a week, yes you can alwas get the bells and wistles later, I load on a 550 if I had the money I would have gottin the650 but I personaly liked the simplicity of the 550 I load about a thousand total between different calibers of course and I reload after I have gone to the range so I know I will have a steady flow of ammo to shoot so I think personaly a 550 will also fit you and you will need components and that aint cheap neather remember your gonna need primers, bullets, powders and brass in bulk I hope cause that will help you shoot more and save money ok just let you shoot more lol.. .. Find a friend or a fellow shooter/reloader and use their reloaders and I aint no professional so I would go and call Brian cause sounds like you need a reloader and fast. He can set you up right! Good luck and be safe.
  11. Yes lots of back loging, what ever it is you might be looking for just type it in the search, might have already been asked. Welcome to the forums....
  12. Ooooor you can get the 550BL basic loader and like others have said you can upgrade later..
  13. The Dillon RL550B is a great progressive loader for beginners, its simple to use, no regrets except for not buying the as it should be kit when I got my loader. Good manuals and lots of em are a must and a plus, hornady is the one I mostly use. Brianenose.com has the ezbuy pacage's you should look at also the easy buy complete conversion kits call brian he can help you and tell you the best route to save you some money so you can use it to by components cause that 550b will crank em out in no time. I have used my 550 as a single stage one of my best investments
  14. Taking your time and verifying your powder charge is the way to go regardless of color, I notice that a lot can happen whe you take your eyes off the reloader or get detracted.. But my blue press will beat up your red press! Lol.. Be safe peeps.
  15. I just remove my pins and dump into another powder measure tap a few times, I might just poor into a different powder measure if I wonna use the same powder on a different caliber... Maybe this might help-> http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71265&view=findpost&p=826870&hl=emptying+your+powder+measure&fromsearch=1
