  1. Interesting. I was checking out a friends duty gun a few weeks ago and noticed this. He had been in a shooting and this was his temporary replacement. Even though I had been to the armorors course, I didn't know what to tell him, other than he should get it replaced. But, the trigger was much better than having the spring inside.
  2. Does anyone remove the spring inside the plastic NY Trigger housing. Will the Earth stop rotating? Floods? Pestilence? Malfunctions?
  3. I think you've pretty much nailed it. I would expect to see the optic mounted offset to allow the use of irons and electronic sight unless it is specifically forbidden in the rules. I had thought of running irons sometime, I'll reserve judgement for now and see how this plays out.
  4. Two weeks ago I would give accolades to the FN SLP. But since I had to send it back for service I won't. A pin has worked itself out of the bolt and locked it up. It's probably got less than a thousand rounds through it since February, so to say I was dissapointed was an understatement. Adding to the frustration with FN is the fact that I had to send my FNP .45 Tactical back for a trigger problem. So I have two guns less than 6 months old back at the factory. If I don't get the shotgun back before the Ozark match I'll really be pissed.
  5. 3.7 grains of WSF with 147 grain Lead Missouri Bullet company bullet.
  6. I just got three of the four round Mark Otto carriers and they are great! Thanks Mark!
  7. MGM has a star for around $660 shipped and it's 500 brinell. They have plate racks too. Good people. They call their star a whirlygig.
  8. I'm just curious if you arrive early the day before if you can walk around and see the stages or are they too spread out? This will be my first match requiring slugs (since I just started 3gun this year). Without going into great detail about this match specifically, generally what type of scenarios are encountered with slugs? Do you have to plan your round count where you may have two birdshot targets, then need two slugs, and back to birdshot? I appreciate any feedback. Looking forward to this one. I think one of the reasons I got so hooked on 3gun is because it is so dynamic. It really is a thinking game among other things.
  9. Dawson will definitly know. I recently went with a fiber front and I love it.
  10. I ordered a PSI adjustable rear from Brownells. Its all I could find and at $40 actually pretty affordable. If it ends up being junk I'm just going to Yvette to get the meprolight.
  11. I'm really at a loss at what to do. The pistol shoots fantastic and it's accurate, but trying to shoot small steel plates is a bitch because I have to aim over the plate to the point that I can't even see my target! I'm just tired of having to adjust for it.
  12. I shot versus an email at their feedback address to give a positive review. Email me
  13. I have a #8 dawson front and factory #8 rear and my Sig is shooting 3-4" low at 20 yards. Does anyone know of an adjustable rear?
  14. I can't find a start and max load for lead 147 gr. 9mm using Solo 1000. Accurates sight doesn't list it and i've read through many of the threads and found wide variations. Does anyone have book data? Thanks
  15. Looks pretty cool. You'd have to scrap it on a match like the FNH Midwest championships this year. Some of the stages were 6" of mud.
  16. Will this match have some long range shooting? Shotgun clays? Will you be sending out additional information before the match? Can you register the night before?
  17. What was the distance on the targets for all three guns for the shootoff?
  18. Sorry, I was in my trailer finishing/revising/editing scores when the team event was run, so I am not sure what the scores were. They were never giving to me to record, so I am not sure if they were. Steve Ken was running the team stage. Anyone know how to get a hold of him?
  19. I know one of the scores....43.64...GO TEAM MGM!!!! I have to say it...Patrick and BJ...you guys carried me. Thanks! Adios, TG Nice! I was on a good run until that FTE on the rifle. Talk about a bummer.
  20. It took me nine with only one at the 400. Too bad I totally butchered that stage up to that point.
