All I can say is mine had the heli coil came out in pieces and needed to be replaced and when I called I told them of a couple of minor problems and they said the would rebuild it for free I just needed to pay for the shipping to them.

I have a SD and 550B. sent the SD back to have it rebuilt and should have it this friday. I bought the SD in the 80's and reloaded over 200 thousand rds. cost to rebuild was zero only had to pay shipping their. That's why I always tell people thinking of reloading to buy dillion and you won't have to buy again. I have bought the spare parts kit for both so when I screw something up I can change the part and keep reloading. then call Dillion for a replacement part for my kit.

Make sure of the course your signing up for. We had some handguners take the course thinking they could become RO's and help but the course also covered the rifle part and most of them failed the course because they don't shoot rifles and it lowered their scores to fail.

Just shoot them then reload them with you componets. Factory ammo uses there own powder mix and is not available to the reloader. That is why factory ammo with not state what powder is used and the main reason lots are stamped on the box.

Sounds like you haven't decided if your a plinker or a shooter yet. If your just going try it and end up not being a shooter go with a single stage and have fun. If you still work all your free time will be spent reloading. If you get into shooting you will upgrade to a higher end reloader, more money so you can make 500 rds in a very short time 1 1/2 hrs. taking your time and still have time to practice. Being married time is important to share with the wife. The Dillion 550 is a great machine and the 650 is better and faster. Find someone and see if they will let you try theirs for a spin.

I like the R-P and win brass. I now throw all the s&b,a-merc and blazer brass in a tubb to throw away at the club and they sell all the brass to help fund jr, rifle.

Why 14 months to build and you don't know what's on it? If I was having a gun built It would have adj sites.

Go with the beam scale and you'll be happy. Down the road when get some spare cash to throw away you can get a electric scale.

You need to find people that have one the brands your looking for and see if you can shoot a mag thru them. People at the ranges I go to would be happy to let you run a mag in their gun. Take so factory ammo and offer to use it.

I think you can go 40 to 9 not 9 to 40 because of the breach face.

I just got a blade tec quad and like it very much.
