GUN NUT

Hello everyone. I have been lurking around here looking for info on an STI Tactical 9mm. Thought I would stop and take time to say Hi. I work in Springfield Mo. for the Green County Sheriff's Office, I am a part-time gun smith, and an avid shooter. The County is going to let us start carrying 1911's this year. So I am spending some time investigating what way I want to go. I have never owned an STI, but I have always liked them. I know this isn't exactly the place to find out about quality Duty guns, but if you can shoot them in competition reliably, then I should be able to count on them for duty.

I probably haven't shot as much as a lot of these other people have. But I have owned and fired alot of 1911's from Norinco to Wilson, and Ed Brown. I am going to put my .02 on the Springfield Armory.
