So do you not crimp plated bullets the same as you would cmj bullets?

shooting is thursday, friday and saturday...depending on how you squad can determine when you arrive. but either way i wouldnt take the chance of not getting here wednesday afternoon. thats cutting it too close to try and get here thursday morning. awards will be late saturday afternoon/evening so again depending on you, if you want to stay for awards or head out of town.

I am going to vit n310 and 124gr mg rn bullets. I habe a friend that loads this way and they shoot so much softer than the power pistol. also going to load vit n310 for my .40 165gr loads as well.

Everyone is complaining complaining complaining....i'm sure they are working on our match as well as the back to back nationals. I know the range is getting ready for it and things are being built and props checked. I highly doubt phil and crew are just going to throw something together last minute. If you wanna help I'm sure they will accept your volunteer hours graciously. Just a thought...

For something fun to do while in Tulsa for the match. http://tulsaoktoberfest.org/ its always a good time and one of if not the biggest oktoberfest celebrations in the U.S. Lots of different beers, games, rides, gifts, & of course german food, oh and chicken dancing!!! and just in case you missed it they have a wide variety of beers on tap in big ass mugs, used to have pitchers of beer but gone to 36oz i think, mugs...beer is pricey though...I always have a good time :-)

it wasnt a reversable plug. it was a standard plug for a bushing gun but arent the guide rods the same? When i ordered it it said it would fit all 2011 guns but i guess it was talking bushing 2011s. Yeah, you got the wrong set. There's one for bushing and one for bull barrels. That's why the plug doesn't work. I know the plug wont work because its for bushing barrels but shouldnt the guide rod work with the reverse plug that came in the gun? I figured all flgr for 2011s would be fine. The dragging of the slide that I described is what I think is wierd.

Ok...i bought a dawson precision guide rod and an egw plug, however the dawson guide rod will not work with the egw plug. There seems to be a little hump on the back end of the guide rod, toward where the spring compresses to, and it makes the spring hang up because that little hump catches the plug. I also tried a different guide rod with the egw plug and it works but it almost sounds or seems like the slide is dragging a little. like its not smooth but rough and dry, yes it was lubed. It doesnt sound that way with the recoil master in. I guess I will have to see how it functions later because i am shooting area 4 this weekend and dont have time to figure it out. (this is on my sti edge)

I did both...bought a very slightly used edge, 200 rounds fired through it, and placed an order with Mclearn to build me one. The build wont be done for some time but I dont have to wait to shoot limited. The edge has been great but it also convinced me to order a custom. There are certain things I want done that you cant just buy off the shelf.

Which guide rod and plug do i need for my sti edge that has the recoil master in it, i want to replace it. also what weight of, reduced power recoil spring should i use, 12#?

try shooting with a slight bend in your elbows. it looks like you have them locked out straight on both sides.

Ive got a question about a used edge that i bought off of another forum...it has "edge" written in small letters on the left side of the gun on the lower right portion of the slide by the rear serrations. All other edges that i have seen have "edge" printed in big letters down the middle of the left slide. Whats the difference in the models? One is a newer model and mine is older or ??

Stages look good, hopefully the weather will be as well. I hope the mid to upper 90*s dont stick around that long.

Good one! There are several of us that have stock 2's & boy are they nice....i like it better than the cz shadow :-)

I prefer the safety on my tanfo better than the cz...and as you stated the frame on the stock 2 leaves more room for your support hand. I did have a few accidental safety engagements on my cz but have not had them on my tanfo. plus the stock 2's safety is more positive, to flick up and down, than the cz which leads to less oopsies.

Where did you order from, I'm looking for a back-up.
