  1. ^^^^ This. I was able to give mine a 1/8th turn deeper and it worked well.

    BasePads...

Turns out the rubber baseplates for the CZ75's fit the Beretta 92 MecGar mags (They're essentially the same magazine tube). I've been on the hunt for a rubberized baseplate like the old Elite-style magazines had (silver mag). I've been using the ShockBottle easy-off pads for a while from benstoegerproshop and they're really solid, but I miss the tackiness of the rubber. BTW, if you're using MecGar mags in your Beretta and want the ShockBottle pads, buy the ones meant for the CZ75. If you're using OEM Beretta mags, then use the ShockBottle Beretta pads. The difference is the mag tubes are a bit longer/shorter and the flush-fit gets in the way...
  3. If you order a WC BrigTac with an action tune from the factory, Beretta USA does the trigger work. It isn't nearly as nice as getting the gun, then sending it to WC for a guy like Jared (aka "Bucket") to work on. If you want the best possible trigger on a Beretta, buy the gun, then send it in. Tell them to use the new WC trigger bar and spring pack. Great triggers... Jared Phillips does AMAZING work.
  4. Pat Doyle in the house! ^^ Good advice from a professional!
  5. I don't know the stock FS height on a vertec... Could you measure that? From the top of the slide to the top of the sight (not including the dovetail). If the FS is .140"T, then a .305" rear should do top-of-blades at 7-15yards and ~1" high at 25 yards.
  6. Sweet! They finally got the sights cut right and the right SKU's posted! For stock 92's, the .270" is what you want ("drive-the-dot") The .270" is SKU: 630SQ-S (http://shopwilsoncombat.com/mobile/Wilson-Combat-Battlesight-Flat-Square-Notch-Serrated-Blade-270-Beretta-92FS_96FS/productinfo/630SQ%2DS/) Elite and Brig users should use these: .290 is "drive-the-dot" and .305 is "top-of-blades" The .290" is SKU: 632SQ-S (http://shopwilsoncombat.com/mobile/Wilson-Combat-Battlesight-Flat-Square-Notch-Serrated-Blade-290-Beretta-92FS_96FS/productinfo/632SQ%2DS/) The .305" is SKU: 819SQ-S (http://shopwilsoncombat.com/mobile/Wilson-Combat-Battlesight-Flat-Square-Notch-Serrated-Blade-305-Beretta-92FS_96FS/productinfo/819SQ%2DS/) As for the "copy", I'm not going to get too bent out of shape over that, right now, even though folks think I should. I know it is just "copy-n-paste" stuff that could be changed later...
  7. No problems DF'ing the snot out of it: FP is floating. I don't use a washer and I DF a lot. YMMV, tho.

    How far?

I think there was one guy that made an open Beretta... I think that info is still on the forum. The capacity limitation really kills it for Limited. The shape of the slide kinda makes an optic mount impossible for Carry Optics. The 92 does well in IDPA/USPSA production, so most people only really run it there...

    M9A3

I can tell the recoil on a brig, just slightly less "snappy" when compared to a std. 92 slide. It isn't that noticeable, tho...
  10. I haven't heard that they'd switch the rear-sight...
  11. Thanks you much! This is excellent info.
  12. Could you post a copy of that correspondence?
  13. Literally just off the phone with Bill Wilson - looks like there was an internal miscommunication and the wrong sights got made... They've already got a run of the originally designed sight at the fabricators and they're trying to get those out... He said to check back after the first: maybe the SKU might change? As soon as I know something, I'll hit back...
  14. Sorry bro ... I'm no good with that stuff... LOL
  15. Looks like the G-Conversion lever is now out! $55.00 and you can convert a F/FS, etc to use the new system. http://www.berettausa.com/en-us/beretta-g-lever-kit/ I'm going to have my guys at Beretta ask NROI about the rules for adding it into a FS gun: It is a factory part and will probably be replacing the original FS system that exists now. Use the torsion spring and you get a G-configuration, leave it out and it is a safety configuration. Doesn't work with the .22 slide, btw.
  16. I thought he meant he was 55seconds on the classifier with the scoring change...
  17. Been away for a bit - looks like there is some confusion over at WC about which SQ notch sight was supposed to go into production. They're trying to sort it out... LOL... As for the credit: what matters is that there is a reliable, well-made sight available for the '92. It is nice to get credit once in a while, but I'll settle for good options for the '92. As I know more, will have updates to post here... Sorry for any confusion...
  18. I wonder how this would work with FS guns in USPSA?
  19. Hey Folks, Some of you have been following the design of the square-notch sight I helped design with Wilson Combat. The good news is that Wilson Combat has finally gotten SKU's for the sights! They're not on the online catalog at this minute, but I think Wilson Combat can fill 'em via phone order. 630SQ (.270” Height - For FS/Stock guns with integral front sight) 632SQ (.290” Height - For Brigadier slides and "drive the dot" sight picture. Mimics stock Brig sight height) 819SQ (.305” Height - For Brigadier slides and "top of sight" sight picture.) These have some different dimensions from the U-notch sights that WC produces and I think it makes the sights more amenable to sport and defensive shooting. So far, guys like Mike Seeklander, Paul Sharp, Ernest Langdon and Jacob Hetherington have been T&Eing the sight and, it seems, liking it a lot. Notch is .150" wide. This works well with a stock front sight and works well with the .100" Dawson FO sights that a lot of folks run on a Brig. The notch isn't so shallow that you get distracted by the firing pin block (can't see it like you can with the U-Notch sights)
  20. Looks like the M9A3 G-conversion lever should fit a lot of older 92FS guns without needing slide milling/etc. Video is a little long but show you, in gory detail, the conversion process. Essentially, there is a large coil spring that catches the slide and pulls the lever back up. Neat.
  21. Sure thing - I'll ping WC again to see if they've updated yet...
