I ran them with Dawson sights... If you like the trigger, shoot it a bunch before putting the WC or LTT TJIAB into it... The 11.5 springs are nice if you're shooting a lot of USPSA...

Beretta's are usually set up to "drive the dot"... e.g. the dot is where the POI occurs at 15 and out... Some folks like that. Other folks swap for the .305" and carry on... The stock LTT front sight is .145". Dawson's partridge front sight is .140" and works really nice, but the LTT sight works well too ...

Kinda funny - the Beretta 92 is hitting a much needed resurgence of popularity these days. 10 years ago, there were only a few folks using any kinda of 92 (Elite if you could find them, or 92FS/92G models) in any of the action shooting sports. The base template for all the guns is really similar - the biggest differences are in the vertec vs humped grip, slides with dovetails or integral sights, or the really different 92XPerf which has safeties a different trigger feel and has a steel frame vs alloy. I've been shooting a LTT RDO for most of the season trying to learn the Red Dot. I won IDPA Nationals (ESP) with a lightly tuned LTT. I really don't mind the "humped" alloy frame... You can't really go wrong with any 92 - but maybe try out the grip profiles/sight combinations...

I guess it depends where you are and where you shoot... I think, overall, the sport has progressed in some ways - the simpler days are a bit behind us... Hell, even one of the local IDPA clubs has National-level (or better) stages at the regular monthly match...

IDK if crossovers are a real thing. I mean, I get that JJ never shot IDPA before, but most of the folks winning and up there were IDPA folks: Glenn Shelby, Austin Proloux, etc.

I didn't like the combined walk throughs and the overall "rushed" feeling of having to get 1 game plan in mind, them immediately switch to another. That said, the stages were largely alright - nothing that you wouldn't see at a larger IDPA match - the overuse of vision barriers was a bit gimmicky ... I'm glad I went; nice to see Beretta interested in some form of practical shooting, honestly; nice to see a bunch of Beretta/LTT shooters.

Beretta is about to have a bunch of Vertec FS slides come online for sale. Couple it with a G-conversion and you've got a pretty cool setup!

Using a stock trigger bar? I've noticed that some are a bit wider/taller...

I've sanded the channel a bit until it doesn't rub in the past. Nowdays you can buy VZ, LOK or Wilson grips where the channel is relieved a bit better. Never tried the Beretta or Hogue AL grips, but I'd guess they'd work too...

The 12 will generally work pretty well... It does wear out faster tho... After ~6000 might be good to swap it out...
