  1. In addition to the increased reliability of the 45 I'm sold.
  2. I feel that its ever so slightly easier for me to call a shot off a 45 than a 40 at the same pf. I'm currently shooting a 40 build, but the next will be 45.
  3. Hello, I'm wondering if anyone if is aware of a software program that is a compilation of various firearm designs. Basically an encyclopedia of firearms, which specifies the actual mechanics. Are there any data bases with Computer Aided Draft designs that are open to the public? Also, Looking for various dimensions, especially in association with Browning's 1911. Thank You
  4. The 6 o'clock of the bullet touching the 12 o'clock of the dot at 50yards.
  5. 50 yards. Have the bottom of bullet touch the top of the dot. Shoot from rest and bring magnification. BTW: C-mores are very sensitive to adjustments.
  6. Long needed updated. Training: Took a class from Todd Jarret, so now I'm basically relearning all the fundamentals in the manner in which he taught. Everything he said hit me like a revelation. I'm ready to take my game to the next level. I highly recommend his classes, it was the best money I've put towards shooting. Todd used Rebecca Jones as a good example of footwork/box entry & exiting! Wow, I never realized just how big of a deal footwork is until Todd's class. There was also a huge emphasis on weak and strong hand shooting. Todd offered some great techniques, that have helped make him the best strong and weak hand shooter in the country. A Little Person Revelation: I realized today during dry-fire that if my shoulders are relaxed, my transitions are much FASTER and ACCURATE! Huge improvement over the tense aggressive strong headed approach. This is just one of many new parts of my shooting game that I can focus on and develop into a subconscious skill. Equipment News: Benny Hills Tactical Mossberg 930 has been running great! Totally Reliable with various shell loads& lengths! Benny is a master gunsmith! The only draw back to Mossberg's 930 design so far has been the small bolt release. The lifter gate also may need to be upgraded. Building a 6inch Limited Gun, looking for a new gunsmith! Looking for a used 38 SC 2011 Limited Gun, for 3-gun and Steel Challenge. Looking for a reliable used SV 38SC Open Gun. Currently shooting a Cameron Custom, but sadly haven't heard from them after 6 calls and 4 emails... hmmm i hope they are ok! 3-Gun: I've stepped into a couple 3gun and USPSA Rifle matches. Things have been going well, been placing within the top 3 overall consistently! Gotta work on those weak hand shotgun shell reloads! Youtube: Planning on making some fun "How To" videos, when I get the chance!
  7. CR Speed are Economically efficient in the sense that they can be used with nearly every magazine out there. Plus they are the fastest I've came across!
  8. I love Rob Leatham's TGO Magwell! I've tried nearly everything out there and it's the fastest for me!
  9. I would love to jump in the next class! Your books have been a HUGE help!
  10. A raised mainspring housing helped me instantly!
  11. Hey fellow classmates! First of I want to Thank Todd and Rebecca for being Top Notch people! Todd totally revamped nearly everything about my shooting in a single day. I thought I had the fundamentals fairly down, but now I'm relearning everything the best way possible. He has so much experience and time behind a gun, I knew this class wasn't the time to ask questions, but rather to listen, learn, and do. Without a doubt he is one of the greatest shooters to ever set foot on earth! Ever since the class, I've spent hrs and hrs training the correct way to do everything. This class gave me a plethora of information to add to my game! The class completely changed my learning curve and has given me the platform to start sound and successful shooting! I recommend it to everyone. It was the best money I have spent towards any shooting related activity. If I could go back in time and redo my start in competitive shooting, I would of sold all my guns but one and spent the rest of that money on this type of training! Steve and Angel... I'm looking forward to the next time we shoot some "BB's"! Drew
  12. I've tried large amounts of everything and had the best performance from Federal and the worst from Wolf. Federal Primers are AMAZING!
  13. My lil video! http://youtu.be/bGLvnC7b7_E?hd=1

  17. I like the burkett videos, but honestly the quality control didn't exactly impress me. Great information, but it can get hella boring. If your a visual learner, I really recommend any of the super squad dvds(which aren't instructional, but for visual learners its a great tool). I recommend any of Saul Kirsches training vids too!
  18. I see a lot of 40S&W reloads pushed way out to 1.2 and beyond. While, I have ideas why people stretch their cartridges out, I want to know what you think about these stretched loads? Would you say their mechanical benefits to these longer cartridges? If there are advantages, are they best for a specific platform fi.1911/2011 or is it a good universal standard to stretch your OAL out as long as possible within your platform? If there is no advantage, or even a disadvantage what is your argument? Do many GM's load long? Thank You
  19. Got 16lbs from Powder Valley Today!
  20. 10LB Recoil and 15LB Main Here! Runs great on some of them, but not on others... Springs are cheap and worth getting various ones for the R&D of your 1911.
  21. Checkmate The Virgil Build is back.
  22. Big Update: • Looks like moving to NC is the next big step in this pursuit of shooting. • If anyone knows of any shooting related jobs, it would be great to hear from you! • NC matches and shooters will provide a better challenge and opportunity to grow.
  23. It's my opinion Schuemann are best. Mike is a really good guy and loads of R&D is put into getting you the best barrel possible!
  24. Equipment Update: I'm very fortunate that I'm now able to get into 3gun! This is Benny Hill's first Tactical 930 off the line! I'm very excited! Thank You Benny!
