Great Tips from one of the Greatest!
Personal Note:
I've been doing around 4hrs of dry fire and honestly became burnt out. It's good to hear Max had the same feeling!
New Training Notes:
50% Speed Dry Fire
30min Per Night
Going for two simply holes in the area that the rear cocking serrations would be. I would think I would need something that will go deep. Those holes go completely through the slide.
I believe I will set aside time for some eduction from either a vocational school or an experienced gunsmith. Are there any smiths on this forum that would be willing to offer training?.
Is it safe to use a drill press to drill holes into a slide?
If so, what rpm and type of bit should be used?
Or is a milling machine the best option?
Thank You
Training Update:
Great News, shot CM99-11 in practice this morning, it was my first GM classifier(98.4296%)!
Now to solidify it and bring this to matches.

Really wishing I had a bullet sponsorship.
I'm looking to buy a Machining Mill, primarily for slide cutting.
I'm totally new to milling and would like to hear some of your recommendations.
What companies do you prefer?
What models do you have?
What models do would you like?
What features are musts?
What features are nice but aren't totally necessary?
What should be avoided?
What is a good budget to set aside?
What else should I look for?
Thank You
One of the greatest, if not the greatest. None the less, we are in a new age of tech! There's a large amount that needs to be changed. That's why I'm working on a new concept!
Personal Thoughts/Improvements
Smooth out the lull in between mag insertion and reacquiring support hand grip.
At the 20 second the recoil is actually pushing my upper body. This is not acceptable. From what I've seen of the lighter M & GM's an aggressive posture is likely to be the solution.
Looks like leaving the pistol in the original firing position will save time during the reload. Pulling the pistol back seems like excessive waste movement.
May start pinning my support thumb to my hand, I've noticed a far amount of GM's doing this.
What are some other things to work on?
Nice thing about having a minor ss gun is those 2xtra rounds, 1.275oal, and soft recoil. Norris did do very well at Nationals w/ the 38 setup! I'm sure some others could chime in about the negative aspect of minor ss.
1.180 OAL in Tripp 10mm Cobra's. Might push it longer, but don't really know how long is too long. I'm running an AET 40 barrel. I believe I have at least 1.25 of usable length in the mag.
The only noticeable difference your really going to see from a "chip" is going to be in a forced induction engine. If it is a "performance" chip then you will see a decrease in mpg, because in order to make more performance(HP) out of the engine the chip must add more fuel the the amount of air.
Status Update:
I've been debating about moving to an area in the US, where there are the most serious competitors. Any recommendations?
Does anyone know of any solid shooting communities, that would welcome a newcomer?
Thanks!
Thank You Sfpmb, I appreciate the kind words!
I've been fortunate enough to see personal improvements every time I shoot.
To me one of the greatest things about the shooting sports is that no matter what level we perform at(even for the GMs) there is always a higher one.
That is a very encouraging truth.
