  1. yeah i just pounded the old one back on there except before i put it back on i drilled a little hole in the front of the sight to let more light into the pipe. im not sure why it didnt come that way but NOW its a bit better. heh
  2. im assuming the hi-viz i had on there would be more appropriate. i think most of these aftermarket front and rear sights are really set up to be paired with thier front or rear factory counterpart.
  3. cmon guys you just gotta play some video games (or shoot at little critters running around) then you will get better at shooting swingers
  4. i think this is one of those things where you need to simply be more touchy-feely and intuitive about the whole thing rather than doing a bunch of number crunching. just an oppinion. just eyeball those swingers. shoot some more shots at them and figure out when you need to shoot to hit them where you want.
  5. oh for a few weeks now its been around 750 rounds a week. but.....its only 9mm so were good with the money.
  6. after i ordered this front sight i was actually thinking about that image of your prefered sight picture in your book and was thinking "hmm i think my light bars are gonna be a tad wide." heh this is what i got right now. fairly typical: but yeah im just kinda figuring out what i like and dont like
  7. i actually had one of those rail mounted lasers for a bit until i realized that i couldnt really use it AT ALL at the range and then i sold it but yeah id see that sucker twitch around to different spots when i would pull that trigger, it was informational.
  8. what kind of loads do you shoot and what weight spring do you use (generally)
  9. im a little bit better every week, i figure ill be pretty cool in a few years, as with anything else being good and admired by others for your skills just takes time and effort....and a bit of smarts.
  10. well i work swing 230pm to 11pm and i do most of my stuff in the morning before work. i wasnt a big fan of this when i started the job but im more or less used to it. it aint so bad during the winter when its a bit colder but i was having trouble motivating myself to go out and do sprints when it was like 90-100 degrees out around noon time
  11. SS for esp right now first idpa classifier i did, i missed out on expert by 2 points, i was kind of dissappointed. expert looks alot better than sharpshooter
  12. strong/weak hand shooting is a solid fundamental that shows your skill as a well rounded handgun shooter.
  13. well seeing as your the author of that book i bought and read, your powers of observation are probably a tad better than mine and you see some things i dont

  15. so i got this xdm9 and had a nice skinny dawson precision front sight and warren rear site put on and boy you can definitely see more movement with that little front sight than you can with the big blocky factory sights, or maybe its my imagination (or my hands are shaking more ) i think this might help with dryfire pratice a bit more because with that other big front sight your thinking (''naw, it aint moving around, its solid like a rock'') and then with this one you notice (''oh its kind of shaking around a lil bit and it twitched to the left a little bit when i pulled the trigger.'' ???
  16. and then with single handed shooting my misses will usually be low also. but then when dry firing if i dont hold the gun a certain way ( i think not applying enough pressure with the pinky finger and ring finger portion of my hand) the muzzle will do a little downward twitch when the firing pin goes off so i just gotta dry fire a bit more.
  17. yeah when im off target i tend to miss low, left or both my shots dont miss up/right too much
  18. i noticed when doing rapid fire bill drill type stuff that immediately after firing a string i notice my dominant arm is fairly tight and tense while my weak arm isnt. im gripping 2 hard with my dominant hand. pretty typical problem but its just the first time i really paid attention to it and noticed it.
  19. if i remember correctly it was 2.77 total. i dont know the exact distance. you can see it. used an xdm9 124g about 130 pf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_pbAe5fvOA
  20. hey, uhh is this ced7000 timer on its most sensitive microphone setting actually supposed to be able to register the sound of a firing pin strike or you stuffing another mag in your gun? ive seen people use a timer for this kind of stuff like dryfire and reloads but it doesnt seem like its able to hear that stuff
  21. what exactly do you want out of a hotel room?
