p92.green rule book IPSC production - nope 19.2 Base plates and/or any other devices which provide additional ammunition capacity (eg +2 mag. ext.), are prohibited. pg 97 USPSA production - any factory mag/parts appears ok. max mag length - no max ammo capacity - 10 rounds loaded in any mag after start signal.

Ditto on search. I researched and waited about 1.5 years before taking the reloading plunge. Everything that was recommended by the majority/consensus was great. g35 with KKM barrel. dillon 550b press EGW "U" Lee decapping/resize die redding comp. bullet seating die Lee carbide factory crimp die titegroup, 180 zero/mg bullets No problems. 99.999% of the ammo case gauges perfectly. Runs flawless in my g35. A little powder change for the different games. It might be a tad spendy up front. But do it right the first time and all you have to worry about is the shooting. Flex has a great suggestion of taking the loaded ammo straight from the press to the labeled ammo boxes. It make take a little more time but it helps to keep you organized.

openglock, Very nice! Who did the hard chrome on the THE magwell? You've induced magwell envy. I want mine done as well. Thanks.

stingerjg, Where did you get the brass magbases for your G35? Inquiring minds want to know.. Thanks!

You will need an extension to properly seat any mag in a glock with a magwell. You don't necessarily have to get a 140mm or 170mm extension for all your mags though. Arredondo makes a nifty +0 extension (~$16) that you could pop onto a regular g17 17 round mag. (spring stays the same) And it's a whole LOT cheaper than a new 140/170 extension plus new spring.

Due to the cold wet Oregon winters, I do my exercise on a treadmill. While I was cooling down (walking slower), I thought, "hey, I could pull out my pistol and practice shooting on the move." It worked pretty well and I liked the fact that it forced you to keep moving while pulling the trigger. No unconscious "stopping" to keep the sights from moving. Hopefully this will help some others as well.

Ryucasta, Thanks!

Ryucasta, What 40 load do you run with your mag setup? (oal, bullet type, etc.) Thanks.

Welcome Fan, I've owned both of the brass versions. The glockmeister is a cheap copy of the T.H.E mag well. The GM version has a plastic locking block with a metal screw. You can imagine how that combo works out. It doesn't. The plastic/metal will start to slip and strip. The T.H.E. version has a brass locking insert. Best of luck!

Being fairly close to sedro wooley, I received the new rule book this afternoon. It's green. Everyone should be getting theirs soon.

Glad I could help. Have fun and good luck!

One thing no one has mentioned.... You can wear kneepads for that stage. It can make it more comfortable. I have a pair of removable construction knee pads just for situations like these. They are also nice to have when you a kneeling during a stage in gravel, rock, etc. Just ask Erik, he's "a famous IDPA shooter." He wears his underneath his 5.11 pants.

Holsters that work with round trigger single stack

Sometimes practice and pretty don't mix. But then again, I shoot a glock... The least amount of wear would probably be CR with Arredondo muzzle cap. -
I just chrono'd a batch of factory ammo. Using my G35 with a KKM barrel. I don't recall all of the data. (I'll write it up once I pull it from my log book.) All the factory loads did make major. The closest (lowest) to major was the UMC (remington) 180 fmj. But I do remember that the PMC 180 fmj did NOT make major. Hope that helps. More later...

Yup. It's a slide "cut." The 34 and 35 have the top cut out to make the slide mass equivalent to the 17/22. It's they can use the same recoil spring. (and save money on not having to produce another specialized part for that model)

Erik, Congrats! And welcome to the real world.

Ryucasta, Thanks!

Ryucasta, What oal have you found works best for 180 r. bullets when using your KKM barrel? Thanks! BTW, congrats on your new open glock. It's the best looking open glock I've ever seen.

Ditto on what EricW said. I tried for 3 months to get a good price on a used 550 from ebay. Good price being 50-75% retail. I never could get close. Plus the retards would always remove a part or two (primer alarm, powder funnel, etc.) to screw the end user. I just placed an order from BE a few days ago. I would skip ebay and buy it from BE. If you are thinking about ordering, I would do it SOON. Dillon (and BE ) are raising prices in Oct/Nov. That prompted me to place my order. I ordered nearly $500 worth of stuff for 19.99 shipping. No other Dillon dealer came close the BE's prices. Plus his service is excellent.

I feel your pain. My shooting buddy and I are splitting the cost of a 550 press. Most of the time a press just sits there, so there is no reason you couldn't go in with another person. The savings really adds up when you can order bulk powder, bullets, etc. with other people. Before this, I bought a toolhead, dies and powder measure. There were alot of ipsc shooters willing to let me use their press for me to load on. I just removed their toolhead, put mine one and you are up and running in about 2 minutes. Ipsc shooters are some of the most generous and gracious people on the planet. They were really willing to help me out due to a limited budget.

No. Unless you need to cut the slide (ie open guns), the difference is very, very, very minimal and probably would not make a noticable difference. I'm curious..why would you want to have your g22 cut? The best glock shooters (Dave S., GM's, etc.) all shoot with a stock slide. If they can shoot well with a basic glock, so can you and I.
