  1. "Walang katapat" translated is "no equal". And there is nothing in life to equal a father's love. I'm sorry for your loss pare.
  2. Any word on the 2013 match? This has been one of my favorites and would like for it to keep on going.
  3. Confirmations will go out this weekend or early next week for apps that have been received by Nordic Components as of today. Those who are in will be receiving a direct email from me.
  4. Negative. As a new participant, theres a lot of info to take in. Its always better to ask when things are not so clear. Trust me, there are plently of guys in our sport always willing to answer any questions (relating to the sport of course).
  5. Thanks for sharing the pics. But now I got to find a rag to wipe the drool of my keyboard.
  6. I'd send it in unless there has been a notification that the match is full. For the team event, you don't have to have a team. Its a fun event, but not a mandatory one. If you do want to shoot it, find two other guys to join in with you or wait until the match as there will be people there looking to form a team.
  7. Must be nice to be able to have to make that kind of decisions. Looking forward to seeing you again Barry.
  8. A couple more sponsors to add on to our growing list: MFR Targets - Gold Sponsor FNH USA - Silver Sponsor
  9. No matter how many mags I may need to finish the stage, I always bring at least one spare mag on me. Always try to be prepared for when the bag luck bug may bite.
  10. Welcome Jeremy. Like what Chris (Shooter115) said, check us out at the MN 3-Gun Group's website at http://www.mn3gungroup.org/. You'll find most of the information you'll need there. You can also check us out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MN3GunGroup?v=wall. We operate our matches at the Minnetonka Game & Fish Club (MGFC) in St Francis or at the St Cloud Area Practical Shooting Association (SCAPSA) Range in Clearwater. We welcome new 3-gunners and we'll make sure to pair you up with a veteran 3-gunner who will guide you through. Our first match of the year is on March 16th at SCAPSA. Your 9mm handgun is ideal for the Tactical Optics or Tactical Limited Divisions in which .223 caliber rifles and semi-auto shotguns are popular in. But your 308 rifle is ideal for the heavy division in which you'll need a .45 cal handgun and a pump-action shotgun. So your current combination of a 9mm handgun and a 308 rifle is not ideal, but not impossible to work with. When it comes to our matches, there are no prizes to be won (except bragging rights) and we want people to enjoy it. So bring what you got and try out our sport. Then you can make a decision on the other gear you may want to get.
  11. That's coming from the father of two great 3-gunners. One of which is Tyler Payne of the Army Marksmanship Unit. Though the old man himself is not a bad shot, even when he got crippled by a twig.
  12. Hello Old Friend. I'm glad to have shared one of the most funniest stories of my career. Looking forward to seeing you again.
  13. He does not have to use the belt, just swap the shell caddies. You'll both get a big thrill with 3-Gun. Once you've tried it, shooting handgun-only competitions will seem kinda boring. I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone here when I say to please pass on our thanks to your son for his service.
  14. I am proud to announce that Freedom Munitions is on board as a Gold Sponsor for the match. Special thanks goes to Jansen Jones for setting this up for us.
  15. Common folks, lets be nice. I have to work with the big guy. It'll be very hard to have to keep looking over my shoulder.
  16. We often get new shooters at our local matches that does not have the "proper" gear. And a few have never seen a shotgun caddie before. So it is common practice for the guys with the gear to share their gear when they are not shooting. Most of the shell caddies have a belt clip design that can easily be removed from the belt. I know how it gets harder to share gear while being all bundled up. But if you're planning on getting your son the same shotgun caddies that you have, you might as well trade back and forth with him so he can get a start on learning to work with them. Welcome to 3-gunning. You and your son are going to have a great time.
  17. I wouldn't rule that out quite yet. But hey, you'll know what to have with you if you need to argue with the Range Master.
  18. The MN 3-Gun Group is proud to annouce that Brian Payne has volunteered to be the Range Master for this match. Brian is a veteran 3-gunner who has attended many major matches. His experience and fairness will make this great match be even better.
  19. For our local matches that the MN 3Gun Group holds, we are planning for a lesser round count stages than normal. We will also be allowing 22LR and carbine rifles or conversions. The details are yet to be be finalized but they will likely follow the lines of Tac-Limited and Tac-Optics rules. For personal, I not be shooting Heavy Metal at the local matches. I will be reserving my 308 ammo for the major matches only until things settle down.
  20. My wife and I were watching a movie once where a guy gave his rifle a name. My wife asked if I had given my LRP-07 a name yet since I always talked about how great it is. I replied "The Mistress". Guess what happened next.
  21. I do that when shooting my 308 at local matches. But instead of counting the rounds, I count 75 cents, $1.50, $2.25, $3.00, and so on. WIth the rate its going, I'm gonna be counting with higher amounts.
