  1. My M&P 9 Pro with the Apex Competition AEK, ultimate striker block and RAM has developed a major problem. First a little background. I got this gun used about a week or two ago with the Apex parts already installed. Before today, I put roughly 600 trouble-free rounds through the gun. I took the gun to the range today with 100 rounds of a new load to test. I would say at least 25-30 times in those 100 rounds, the trigger failed to rest after firing a shot. Racking the slide slightly just enough to rest the trigger allowed me to fire the next at least one shot. I cannot duplicate the problem during dry fire, no matter how many times I rack the slide and pull the trigger. It only happens during live fire. Any ideas here? I'm really not happy about this and hoping it's a known issue with an easy fix. I have matches coming up and can't be without the gun. The only variable that changed is the powder used to load the ammo. But I really can't see how that would cause trigger rest issues?? Any help would be very much appreciated!
  2. Yep, I got what I need. Thanks a ton for the offer though!!!!
  3. My local shop had some 1/2 lb cans of 7625 on the shelf so I grabbed one to try it.
  4. I was all set to order one of their green dot docter clone, but they're out of stock til late July. I have one of their Aimpoint micro clones on an AR. It works. Maybe I'll go that route.
  5. Don't want a C-More. Reason being there is a local just for fun USPSA type match every month that allows .22s. They must be holstered, however. My .22 fits my production holster, but wouldn't with a C-More. With a mini red dot, it would fit fine. I think a Burris Fastfire is about as much as I'd be willing to spend for the .22
  6. I actually found them on Overstock.com just a few minutes ago, of all places. Good price and $2 shipping for the whole order.
  7. Need to slap a red dot on my 22/45 Mk III for steel next month. Any suggestions for one that gets the job done for minimal outlay of cash?
  8. An alternative to the shim is to drill and tap the bottom of the hanger and then use a set screw to keep the hanger secure on the belt.
  9. I'm going insane trying to find mags for my 22/45 MkIII. Everyone has 22/45 MkII mags in stock, but I can't find any MkIII 22/45 mags. I'm planning on shooting rimfire in the PA State Steel Challenge next month and I don't have enough mags!!!!
  10. Howard, will payouts be mailed or kept at the range to pick up at a future match?
  11. Did you chrono it? Sorry I should have included that. I did chrono it and it averaged 133PF. Thanks for the info. I tried 5.0gr of WSF and didn't like the feel, but didn't have time to chrono. I'll try your 4.7gr load.
  12. I'm trying to find a powder to use with 124gr Montana Golds. I've tried TG and WSF and didn't like the recoil impulse from either of those. Any other viable options? Maybe 231 or Clays? Although . . could the problem be that I've been shooting open all year and have grown so used to the gun not moving when fired? My production gun is a M&P Pro. Edited to add: Please don't say switch to 147's. I have almost two cases of 124s to shoot.
  13. Fine with me. I'm not ready to jump into the A pool!!!
  14. I've been a "B" Open for two years, and have never come close to being "High B"( Congrats - good luck as an A-Open:) Jack Thanks! This won't bump me up to A will it? Even though I won B, I only shot 73% of the match winner (a GM). Regardless, I'm shooting production the rest of the year.
  15. This past weekend I shot my second ever major match and took high B in open.
  16. The match was awesome. Shot this morning and we were done with 8 stages before noon. The weather held out and we didn't get rained on.
  17. I eject my last round up in the air and catch it. If it doesn't fly where I want it to and I can't catch it easily, I don't reach for it and reach sweeping my arm. The reason? I'm shooting 9mm major. My rounds are loaded with Montana Gold bullets, which makes the whole round look the same color. Sometimes when the range is covered in brass, it's hard to spot my round on the ground. The last thing I want is for some club member at the range one day to come along, pick up my 9mm major round, and shoot it in their (insert gun name here) that isn't built to handle 9mm major and blow their gun and their hands up. Yeah, I wouldn't be there to see it, wouldn't be legally responsible for their actions, etc, but I still don't want it to happen. I, too, am a flipper.
  18. Which primers are you using? I had to switch to Federal when I put a Vanek in my G35.
  19. Great match once again Ted & crew. It was really a shame how few of us participated in the side match. It was fot a great cause.
  20. Ahhh okay now it makes sense. That gear may as well be made out of unobtanium from where I'm sitting but damn, looks like it's worth the huge bucks it costs.
  21. What camera and lens do you shoot with? The clarity of your photos is outstanding.
