  1. If you do choose to change barrels, I use would use KKM. I have put thousands of lead rounds downrange out of my 34 and 35 with no problems.
  2. Those mags are so ridiculously hard to take apart I don't see how they fell apart on you. I cut the side retainer tabs off of my competition mags and have never had one come apart. I do NOT use the 10 rounders though.

    My Glock 35

I did the same stipple to my 35. Love it. If you lose your grip on the gun then you have some other serious fundamental issues!
  4. Blade Tech DoH for 34 and 35 with Adj. Dawson Precision.
  5. I run KKM Barrels in both my 34 and 35. Thousands of lead rounds through both barrels with no problems. They are SLIGHTLY more accurate than the factory barrels (from the 25 and 50 yard barricade). There is not much difference in the accuracy at normal IDPA/ USPSA ranges. Just keep those factory barrels CLEAN!
  6. I'm running a G35 for Limited and I love it. If Matt Cheely says the 24 needs some help, then I believe it.
  7. I'm running the Ultimate with a set screw for the overtravel. Love it! Been running flawlessly for several years now.
  8. I'm running the reduced weight springs, overtravel stops, and the titanium striker/plunger and have had no primer issues. I have the same set up on both my G34 and G35. I only use Federal SPP's. I have thousands of rounds through both guns with no problems.
  9. Mine's on the way too. Coming up there with CDPMatt. B Production.
  10. I will definetly be back next year. I had a great time and was on a great squad (18). Many thanks to the staff and RO's. I'll take the heat over the snow any year.
  11. I posted about the letter on my Facebook page. I've already had two people text me and said they were sending their apps in today. If you are planning to go, please enter now!
  12. I have one friend who is also a state firearms instructor and he has been carrying the same Gen1 G21 forever. There are no telling how many rounds have been through it. He prefers the slick grip on the Gen1. Of course, he has a hand the size of a baseball mitt.
  13. Calmwater I played that game when I went through my state's LE firearms instructor school. We ended up off of the range and in the parking lot! Our head instructor hit the plate from 125 yards. Stock Glock 17. We have a 300 point bullseye stage as part of the entrance requirements to the school. A guy in my class shot it with his duty Glock 17 and scored a 291.
  14. I use the Dawson Adj on both of my cometition Glocks. I think, like most people have already said, it's personal preference. Both companies make a good product. The front sight on the Dawson is a little tall. though. They fit fine in my Blade-Tech's, but if you compete in any LE Only matches, they will drag in a Blackhawk Serpa.
  15. G34 - KKM Barrel, titanium striker and safety plunger, overtravel stop, SS captured guide rod with 13# spring, reduced striker and return spring, 3.5# connector, Dawson Precision Adj. rear sight with red fiber optic front, all moving parts polished to a shine. G35 - same as above, but with 15# spring, full stippled grip, double undercut and rounded triggerguard, and JP magwell. Glock mags with Dawson Precision extended baseplates and wolf springs. G22 - My duty gun. Stock except for decal grip.
  16. I have a G34 I use in Production and a G35 I use in Limited. I have KKM barrels in both guns and I have used lead bullets in both guns for a long time without any problems. I used lead in the factory barrels of both guns prior to buying the KKM barrels, but I am a fanatic about clean guns. I even used lead bullets in my duty G22 at my annual requalification 2 years ago without any problems. So, why is it that some guns just seem to "lead up" all of sudden? Is it the powder load itself? My loads are fairly conservative (usually with Titegroup).
  17. Welcome. Where are from and what do you shoot?
  18. Welcome. What part of TX are you from and what do you shoot?
  19. Welcome from Marion (on the far North central part of LA). I am also in law enforcement and I first got started in competition as a way to prepare for the LA POST Firearms Instructor Course. That was several years ago and I enjoy the competition more and more every year.
  20. These will come in handy the next time I'm trying to explain this to someone.
  21. I usually eat cereal for breakfast (Cheerios or Shredded Wheat). I will usually drink a Coke or Mountain Dew prior to the match or during the first couple of stages. The rest of the day I will drink water or Gatorade. If I get hungry during the day I will eat a granola bar.
  22. I didn't see anything about Area 4 Multigun in the link provided. It talked about Area 4 pistol, although it is highly likely that I missed something. I would like some more info on this match if anybody's got it.
