  1. I didn't realize I had not been on here to thank the staff and sponsors for a great match. Once again, y'all did a great job at a great facility. The free food and beer was also a nice touch! Also, thanks to all of the vendors for putting on a nice display. Many thanks to my sponsor, The Shooters Source, for making it possible for me to be out competing. Check out The Shooters Source for all your competitive shooting needs.
  2. Thanks again to the staff and sponsors. MANY thanks to The Shooters Source for making it possible for me. Squad 8 was awesome. Even though my squad shot stage 1, I did not include it in the video since the stage was thrown out later. I was 30th out 150+ in Tac Optics.
  3. That's what happened. For some reason it would not clear. Even though I told it too. It decided to work this morning.
  4. Thanks to Kirk, Misty, and all of the staff for a good match. My sides/stomach still hurt from laughing all weekend with Squad 8. That has to be the most fun I've ever had at any match. Congrats to West and James C for their wins. It's always a pleasure to shoot with y'all. A big thanks to all of the sponsors! Are the scores posted anywhere yet?
  5. I was going to tell you to look at the match site www.forconquest.com, but I didn't see directions on there either. Big Bear or Misty: Can y'all put up a map?
  6. i also heard rumor of this.... to get back on track... anybody heard any truth the rumor that there's another Ft. Benning 3-Gun match in the works?..... one at Ft. Benning?.... It would be nice, but I haven't heard of such. It is usually hard to get the Army to change its mind/policy on something. When they decided it was a liability to have civilians running about with weapons on base, I think that pretty much sealed the fate of any future matches there. I hope I'm wrong.
  7. I don't know why they never updated the scores from last year??? I guess it doesn't matter now. I think they should take all of the old scores off the site, but maybe have an archive area to go look up old scores. It would be nice if the Semi Pro scores had a breakdown of the number of matches a competitor has shot and what division the points came from. It really doesn't matter, but it would be cool to know. They got my scores straight for now (took a while, but the last fix only took a day). I have shot three matches for points so far, but I still have 3 more matches to go. It will be interesting to see if they are able to keep up with people getting new scores and dropping/adding higher scores. Since we have a Women's and Junior category I think we should have a LE/Mil category too. Like they didn't have enough to do already.
  8. its not easy to find. this link will get you close at the end of it has some imcomplete scores http://3gunnation.com/news/semi-pro_update Thank you. I am looking for the breakdown of all the Divisions; Iron, HM, Open, etc. That isn't even up to date as of the end of last year yet. 3GN needs Linda Chico or Sandra O doing stats. This +1.
  9. You can only have 9 in the gun to start, but you can have as many shells in the gun as you want after the beep.
  10. The 10 is awesome for goose and turkey hunting. It doesn't tear up the turkey head as bad as you think, and I have seen turkeys killed with one at 70 yards. I know a few guys that use 10's for ducks out in the rice fields, but it is a badass goose gun.
  11. I emailed with Chad months ago and mine didn't get fixed until the 6/29 update. Pete was actually the one who contacted me on FB for the info. Maybe you should contact the 3GN FB page. It appears to be run by Pete Brown.
  12. They got my and Kyle O's scores fixed this morning. They fixed a few others too.
  13. I am disappointed that they still don't have the scores right. Kyle O posted above that he wasn't on the list. There is an article on the 3GN site about Kyle winning Limited at Midwest (2nd at TX) and they still forgot to post his scores!! My score from Superstition is still missing even though Chad and I emailed each other about it.
  14. "El Jefe Retardo" sounds much more interesting than "The Mayor"!
  15. I would definitely go with the "Or not" on this one! It's not really practical either. There was a stage at Ozark last year that was 42 rounds all shotgun. Everybody was borrowing caddies (Aaron Parmenter was an RO on that stage and he brought a bunch of his 4x4 caddies to loan out - thank goodness)and loading their belts with everything shotgun. You could not wear that many caddies and then put on a holster, mag holders, and AR mag holders too. You literally run out of room to put equipment on your belt (even if you wear a BIG belt like me). I realize a 42 round all shotgun doesn't happen at every event, but stages like that are out there. You just can't wear all the gear you'll need for the match all at once. I see there have been several posts about removing entire holstered pistols/ outer belts since I commented on it several pages ago (I'm for being able to remove them). If there are safety areas on every stage then removing the entire holstered pistol is not much of an issue. However, if I have to hunt down a safety area every time I reconfigure my rig (every stage) then I agree with The Mayor. There will be a lot of sneaky car/bathroom/behind the tree reconfiguring going on.
  16. I've read the entire new list, and yes it's lengthy, but I didn't see anything crazy or out of line. I think it covers most everything just like the pistol rulebook. There are a few rules I had some questions about, though. 1.2 Current USPSA classification - Many 3 gunners don't shoot USPSA pistol. You potentially have a badass 3 gunner shooting Unclassfied or some low classification because he hasn't shot a USPSA pistol match since he started shooting 3 gun. 2.2.1 Handgun carry/transport/safety procedures - The usual stuff about keeping it in the bag until you get to a safety area to holster or leaving it in the holster until the end of the day and bagging up in a safe area is not a issue. That's standard stuff. The problem with 3 gun is that we are constantly changing our belt configuration. The way I interpret the new rules to say that a handgun may be in a holster, on a belt, attached to a competitor means the competitor is not allowed to remove the holster with the handgun still in it. If my next stage doesn't require a handgun then that holster is coming off. I will have to go to the safe area to take off my holster (with the handgun in it), instead of just unlocking the clip that holds the holster to my belt and placing it in my range bag. The gun should be clear if it's in the holster, right? Also, what about removing the entire outer belt to go to the bathroom (if the holster/handgun is still attached)? That sounds like it will be illegal too. Just my opinion since it's not an issue at other big 3 gun matches. 5.3.2 Muzzle - I saw another person post on this. There needs to be some clarification on this since we may be required to sling a long gun at some point. Everybody runs a different type of sling which means guns could potentially be pointing several different directions. Thanks for the effort to make a complete set of MG rules. I love the Time Plus scoring. Y'all are doing a fine job. Chris
  17. Check out The Shooters Source for your competitive, defensive, and tactical shooting needs.

  18. As a member of USPSA, have you told your AD what you want in and out of the current ruleset? They are working on a new ruleset for 2013, and from the conversations I have had with my AD, it is coming along nicely. Troy McManus is the AD for Area4, and he will certainly be contributing to and voting on the new ruleset. He is actually a pretty good guy and I think he will even take a phone call from the Mayor. McManus is not only our A4 director, but he is one of the very few Range Master Instructors in USPSA (As in very involved in NROI). I'm sure he would love to hear about any concerns over multigun rules. However, he is a very busy guy, so I would email him first.
  19. I got a reply from Chad about my missing score. Please make sure your name is spelled correctly on your match scoresheet/registration sheet. Even if the misspelling is close to the real thing, the stats program may miss it. Chad said maybe in the future our 3GN number will show on the scoresheets, if affiliated.
  20. Well, at least I showed up on the Semi Pro list. I'm missing a score, as is the guy that placed above me. I know 2 guys who were supposed to be on that list and got left out. I realize there are some bugs in the system. Maybe there needs to be a way for us to check in with 3GN so they know to look for our scores at a particular match. I was reminded by my friend Rusty Edwards (they got both of his scores) that my name was misspelled on the SMM3G score sheet. I think that will be a problem for 3GN too.
  21. Here is a pic of me. I'm not sure which stage this was taken on, but many thanks to the photographer (whoever you are). This pic was posted on the TX MG Facebook pics page.
  22. I had a great time and thought the match was well run. Squad 21 was a bunch of fun. I will definitely be back next year. I've been out of town since the match, so I just got around to editing my video. I was 89th in Tactical Optics out of 300+ competitors.
  23. I vote for any place more centrally located. Spartan Tactical near DFW is already hosting FB3G, but they may be up for doing 2 a year. Never hurts to ask. USSA or Rockcastle or something like that.
