This is getting ridiculous. I've got 15k on order from two separate places. Any word on a reason for this supposed shortage?

I got bored and decided to polish the receiver of a break action shotgun I bought for $60. I got it polished the way I want, but I want to know how I can protect it from rust, without changing the color (bluing, etc;). Is there any product or procedure I can use to keep the raw metal from rusting, that is more long lasting than simply keeping it oiled? I plan for it to be a knock-around woods gun I can keep in the trunk of my car. My last option is to hose the receiver down with spray on truck bed liner like I did for the barrel, stock, and fore-end.

With lead/moly or jacketed?

I really hope the 4 pounds of WST I bought isn't going to go to waste. I thought a lot of people used WST to make major?? Is it because they're using 5"+ barrels?

This is my first big match so I have a stupid question. How are the prizes usually divided? By the overall performance? Or the top few shooters per division??

I ALWAYS chrono my loads, but this will be the first time I'll be pushing bounds in a pistol cartridge. What signs to look for in a pistol cartridge?

I couldn't afford a mondo safe, nor could I have put it in my apartment. I currently have a cheap firesafe made by Sentry. I bought the heaviest one they had. I know sentry is a lower end safe, but after hauling that thing up all those flights of stairs to my 5th floor apartment (there's no elevator) If they have the desire to take my stuff THAT bad, there was nothing I could do to stop them. PS. I plan on lag-bolting it to the floor soon.

Any signs of pressure once you get towards 5 grains?

I want to make major with WST out of an M&P40 with 170/180 gr black bullets. The problem is the max load is listed at 4.3 gr which won't give me the PF I need. Is it safe to push past the listed max loads with WST? P.S. I did do a search and all the data listed for WST was for S_I guns that can accept a much longer OAL than I can. I've found a happy place with my M&P right around 1.132" Is it possible to make major from an M&P (or even glock since I think they're limited to the relatively short OAL as well) with WST with 170/180 gr bullets?

in the factory rear sight it is visible from the top, in an adjustable sight you have to take the verticle adjustment screw out and lift the center portion up to get to the set screw. The set screw is there to keep the sight from sliding out. Is the rear sight sliding out a common problem with the M&P?

Are you threadlocking an adjustable sight? Or the factory one?

I'm actually am from Jackson and joined USPSA the day after and can't freaking believe I let myself miss the MS Classic. I'm a soon to be regular of the Team Magnolia matches. I've made the last 3 and don't plan to miss ANY of them. It sounds like the Gator match is a definite!!

I'm just a poor college student, so I've got a tough decision coming up. Between the aforementioned matches, which would you attend? They are about equidistant from where I go to school (Starkville, MS), and I really want to attend a major match this fall. OR Does anyone have suggestions on ways to save so that I can possibly go to both?

Whew! now I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who does stuff like this. I bought 1k pieces of .45ACP brass..... I don't own a .45. I have lots of once fired brass in random calibers that I don't own. I'm under the assumption that one day I'll own a gun chambered in these rounds. Now can someone tell me where I can find a modern gun chambered in 22 Jet?
