  1. Funny.....you didn't recommend POs..... I had one of "those" and I just realized that Para Ordnance is its plural form is a.....POS!
  2. And that had what bearing on the original question???? In regard to the original question, no it should not make any difference in the round count if you are swapping the exact same base pads out. Just be sure about what you swap for!!!
  3. Everyone's a "huge fan" when their team is favored in the "Game". Peyton Manning is soooo arrogant...he makes me sick......
  4. I was thinking of doing one with old car/truck tires stacked and filled with dirt. A post down the center and maybe even wired together. Used tires are given away and I have a bunch to start with. This will be on leased land and as such I can either just leave it or knock it down with a tractor when the lease it up. What do you think?
  5. Have some of that too...but the ammo would shoot flat right? When I say close...I don't mean in a cage! And yes I have fat figures...but taking the gun apart is not going to tell me the spring rate...buy a new one and replacing it will. Which is somewhat besides the point of the question. Question was...if the ammo is safe to shoot in an Edge that was set up for copetition loads. I know for a fact that it is somewhat lighter than the P-16 (POS) by the way.....but I had shock buffs in it that probably contributed to the feel. THANKS non the less!
  6. IMHO....soooooo not worth the effort. If you ask STI if it is Stainless and they think that's what you what to hear then they will tell you that....right? If you asked Dave (I think that's his name), the owner is person you might get the truth. I met both he and his wife and they seeed really nice.
  7. I have followed the USPSA/Steel Challenge sport for a couple of years from mainly a sometimes mentioned technical gear (guns) in magazines like American Handgunner.Remember when (thinking about the time S_Is) were being engineered or maybe it they were being developed (S_Is) to compete with the factory "custom" guns. Seems like BENOS shot for the S&W team and the hot setup was a lightened and comped 9MM like a 4006 or something? I remember reading about the guns and looking at the guns in amazement on the whittling down of what seemed like every ounce of uneccesary weight. Am I right......anyone recall....just wondering? THANKS!
  8. My thoughts and Prayers are with her. GOD BLESS!
  9. I have asked and come to the conclusion that I definately need some sort of rear sight on my M2 to make distant hits with slugs. I have spoke to a guy about milling in an 10/22 rear sight, but I a not sure that I trust him not to screw it up. Question is whether (if I praticed enough) the rear adhensive backed turkey sights are precise enough so that I could just mount these on my rib and used the front sight (already replaced with one of Tom Knapp's Easy Hit) that is easier and faster to pick up? The gun was bought new and I'm relunctant to allow some yokel to start dremeling on it. THANKS!
  10. I have a refurbished G22 that is perfect for your needs, and I'll even let you have it for $500 less than any of the other suggestions you've received so far. Let me know, and you can send me certified funds for $1800 and I'll ship it to your local FFL Look forward to hearing from you. Ciao for now. -br You must be kidding for a Glock.....
  11. Really not the same situation, but I was negotiating a compensation agreement through a independent recruiter in Texas ane the employer wanted me to sign as a condition of employent. It was really rediculous in that it stated that anybody that I discussed business with...etc in this position, I could not use that person as a contact. I am not/was not in business development......I passed. Seems like coming in and making a condition of continued employment seems very harsh. Even in these tough economic times....if push came to shove....it probably would come down to who has the better attorney?
  12. Have you seen the Limited guns offered by and pictures of some of the Limited guns on this site. Limited is no comp or optics. Just about everything else goes....right?
  13. Practicing today with Slugs with my Benelli M2 and I was wondering how far will I be expected to hit with slugs in a match. I have installed a fiber optic front bead on the top og the rib (one that Tom Knapp) sells as EasY-Hit. Question...do I absolutely have to get like 10/22 sights milled into the rib to be competitive and hit the targets. I mean if I know where to hold on say a 60 yard target then..... Just wondering
  14. Sorry to create a s**tstorm mentioning...... BTW....my first rifle was a Savage in .223. Buddy of mine used it (just picked it up) to head shoot deer in South Texas. So obviously, it was accurate. I think the Savages come with some Accu-trigger which I am unfamiliar with. The new Remingtons (more expensive models) come with the Mark X or something which is supposed to be better...easier to adjust and lighter. I am a fan of Remington for two reasons....their Customer Service treated me well and some of their models are just cool....... Good Luck and Be Safe!
  15. I found the DMW site, thanks for the tip. How hard/easy is it to install the easy loader myself? Had a gunsmith do mine (when I tried a 11-87). It takes some shorteningand conturing of the forks and to adjust the tension. Good luck......mine just became too heavy fully loaded!
  16. Question is....do you really need the Nordic clamp? Others work just as well. I have DMW (I think) clamp on my Nordic tube on mu Benelli. I think the Nordic clamp has one with a rail that is not much more expensive. If I were going to spend that....get the one with the rail.....never know when you may want to mount a flashlight on the end?
  17. Mine is hardcromed....and I don't plan on doing that s**t!
  18. OK.....I guess if you buy used and get it cheap enough. I just SOLD mine after something f**kup after I took the mag funnel off. Could not get it to shoot. Sent it to PO who apparently have no respect for their customer's firearms and apparently had to ding and scratch the frame to fix the problem. Alas, I complained and NO RESPONSE. Had already bought an STI Edge and WILL NEVER go back or buy their product again NEW. I will buy their product on the used "cheap" gun market with the expectation that they will have problems.
  19. For what it's worth, the military (until they are replaced with semis) used Rem. actions in their sniper rifles with all the crap done as discussed above.......
  20. Customer service.....wow....never have experienced anything like theirs. Have dealt with Rem and Winchester also and this company is the worst. And that's the thing putting parts on these guns make problems. Smiths (atleast in Dallas) do not like or want to work on them and then when they do they F**k them up and you have to deal with Para USA..... I would scrimp and save and buy an STI as I did. GOOD LUCK!
