  1. Max, You know your the man and definetely one of the coolest cats in the sport. If there is anything I have learned, it is that ANYTHING is possible in this sport. I'd love to see that match though! I'm pullin for ya at nats bro. BTW, it's awesome to see you on the forums...welcome.
  2. Man if you can hold an open gun with a beta mag on it you got some awesome shoulder muscles goin.
  3. I just want to state that shooting A's is just as important in Limited and Open as it is in Production...there is no "production shooter's" view...that is the view of any skilled shooter.
  4. I'm with shred. Not very fond of them but they go good in some stages.
  5. I would definetely go with the Limcat. I love that mag pouch.
  6. Yeah he is definetely a cool kid...I met him at South Carolina. Didn't even realize to just shortly ago that Sevigny also won every stage except one. The man is a machine.
  7. I am the exact opposite. I shoot way better if I am squaded with the big dawgs than if I am squadded with a bunch of B C and D class shooters. I think it is all in how you look at it.
  8. At area 6...Max shot this in 3.88. wow...
  9. It is your overtravel screw...definetely. I had the same exact problem.
  10. I think the problem of switching between Open and Limited is totally mental. I personally never worry about visual cues...I just work on my index to the point where the dot is always there when the gun is up. I'm not a fan of the Docter at all but if that is what your comforatable with...definetely use it.
  11. Visualization is a huge part of it. Ideally (for this type of shooting) we should be able to walk through a stage once or twice and be able to visually remember where all targets and things of importance are. The only way this improves is with practice. At local matches try wakling through a stage once or twice and making your plan from there. Definetely not an easy thing but unfortunantly it is sometimes required.
  12. I normally spend the vast majority of my life fire working on fundamentals then just basic drills. I rarely if ever set up stages.
  13. I see your reasoning behind it but I also don't think it is that big of a deal as in my case I can retrain myself to shoot a C-More or iron sights very quickly. The only difference is holding the gun an inch or two higher. Docter pros No interference with ejection Don't need to worry about the difference between bore and sight cons Unreliable in the past...haven't seen anything to change my opinion of that yet small field of view sight moves with slide I personally would never use a docter just for the field of view aspect.
  14. hahaha shitski....not on the partials....wrong thread. It is kinda funny though I had all A's on the center target so it probably could be done that fast on the partials.
  15. I ran a vice prez the other day at 10 yards in 3.53 with good hits....My reload was actually faster than my draw and I got it on video.
  16. Exactly what Spook said. Great great stuff.
  17. First stage of the day...didn't really wanna push it. 55 points in 6.91. Nice and smooth, nothin crazy.
  18. Only tried it once or twice....On demand was a 3.55 with 8 down I think? The hardest part is getting the splits and transitions all at .14 or less.
  19. I honestly don't pay attention to it. Hopefully at that point your mind is totally clear of any thoughts.
  20. It's not the fall....it's the sudden stops. Personally I'd rather be controlling the vehicle but I can usually pony up and deal with it so that's when I fly. What I really don't understand is I can't bring a knife on board....but I can bring a cane. I can do a hell of a lot of damage with a cane.
  21. Last time I tried it a few weeks ago was 3.11 with a mike (same as Trout's...kinda wierd). Perhaps I'll give it a shot (pun intended) tomorrow.
  22. My recommendation is to just keep it simple. I have seen foot activators work effectively though when set up properly...and it can introduce something new to a stage. I think on this particular stage though...regular popper activators would probably be best. A little bit of a drift but it would be kinda cool to have multiple foot pads so the competitor could decide where they wanted to activate certain targets.
