  1. You can't add the unclassified people in....if you include those then it would include every member in USPSA. Only add GM through D to see how many people are classified in that division.
  2. I'm assuming the plates are set so they don't fall?
  3. Then you have to define what is a prop and what isn't. I don't have my rulebook handy, but I don't remember reading that everything has to start on you....from memory it says everything used in the stage must come frmo you unless otherwise specified.
  4. TDean, You can put your mags where ever you want as long as you don't use the ones that didn't start on your person.
  5. I've been working on consistency big time in dry fire and was talking to Stewart about it earlier. They weren't blazing speed or anything (probably 1.0 - 1.2) but they were all textbook perfect. Did 143 in a row....didn't miss one just decided to stop.
  6. I haven't had any problems with my recoil master in almost 10,000 rounds. And you don't need the little took to take the gun down....it just becomes a PITA to do without it, but you can do it.
  7. Great drill. Fun one to see what you can blaze on it....I hit a PB a few weeks ago I wasn't sure was even possible. When I do this I just usually try to keep it sub 2 with both shots on the head at 7 yards. Great drill for upping consistency in your draw and reloads.
  8. That is the same exact jam I have....the only jam I ever have actually. Once I put my Aftec back in I haven't had that problem...but I've only shot probably 400 rounds since then.
  9. I've never experienced that. When I move, everything comes from my legs...Once I spring off my momentum is going in the correct direction enough so that the weight of mags and the gun really doesn't affect me. Honestly I never even thought about it and it never became an issue.
  10. I'll make sure to call and taunt you buddy. Next year bro!
  11. Definetely very true. For the most part, I see a lot of A or M shooters shoot. A lot of the time they shoot faster than M2 does. They shoot faster, but their times end up being seconds slower with worse points...they look at this and think "wow he is shooting that much faster than me, I better speed up" and they crash and burn very very badly. The biggest time saver in stages is getting in and out of position. Work extensively on that and just shoot. The secret to winning matches is control....if you don't shoot every single shot in total control, it will eventually catch up to you.
  12. I'm not a huge fan of shooting on the move and I will only do it when I feel it gives me a great advantage. Most of the times it just isn't worth it. You will shoot slower, drop more points, and move slower all at the same time. There are some stages where it is great though....the Ohio match we had just recently comes to mind. Not dropping the gun from your vision is huge though. Keeping it right up in the high ready position is safer, more consistent, and faster than dropping the gun.
  13. I would recommened against buying 4 170's. I think the ideal choice is 2 170's and 4 140's. Send the 170's off to Beven and he will turn them to where you can get 29 + 1. For the 140's I use arredondo basepads and grams follower and springs. If you only get 4 mags I would go with 1 170 and 3 140's....which is what I am currently running now (although need to get more).
  14. And make sure you ask Steve Anderson what food to stay away from....and why.
  15. Hey guys, I just now realized that this thread had been posted in. Like Flex said, that video was a while ago and I have slightly altered my technique since then. However on that stage I think either way of leaving the box would have been fine mainly because of the difficulty (easy) of the last target. What drove me to change the technique was a few things. First I was comparing it with how Max and Travis moved in their class. And second (probably more importantly) I realized that using only that as an exit would limit me. For example. If there was an array of targets at 20 or 25 yards (like stage 9 at summer blast) I would not want to lean out on them as it introduces more motion and another aspect of difficulty to an already hard shot. I don't have any other video as of now, but I'm sure I will get some from Nationals next week and I'll email the video to Flex to post it (if he wouldn't mind) so you guys can see the difference.
  16. I think he is going to be in Equador just about the entire month leading up to WS. He is too busy focusing on that to shoot the US Nats. DP, I see you don't read my posts... Probably with good reason. Dave is definetely a dark horse contender in L10.
  17. I wouldn't go to the line with only 20 rounds...but I would challenge myself to not shoot any extra shots. Also bet lunch or something with a buddy on who can shoot the most A's for the match. Remember that control is what wins matches. You must be in control of EVERY shot that you fire. If you can't do that, all the speed in the world is useless.
  18. Alright going into Nats it is time to revise my predictions... Open - This is gonna be tight between Max and JJ. JJ is having a hell of a year, but if Max shoots a solid clean match I don't see anyone beating him. TJ will defientely be right up near the top though. Limited - This is going to be between Travis, Rob, and TJ. Todd has been really on so far this year so he is definetely a threat. I've watched Travis shoot a lot of matches this year and he keeps getting better. Rob can never be counted out as he always without fail sees his sights for every single shot. I am going to pick Travis for the Limited title. L10 - This will most likely be between Rob and Travis again, although Sevigny definetely has the chance of an upset. I would never count him out on the 10 round game. I think Travis has a better chance to win this division simply because he doesn't any lose time making reloads. If you are the slightest bit off it adds up real quick when you make 2 or 3 per stage. Production - Sevigny. I love all you other guys, but you are shooting for 2nd place. There is no one anywhere that can come close to Dave in this division. Dave is putting people at lower percentages than Jerry is in Revolver. That is just scary. Revolver - I think we all know the answer to this one.
  19. Hey buddy, Don't worry about it....it is just another match. The biggest factor tested at Nats is consistency...just shoot your own game for every stage and I guarantee you will be fine. Hydration is defintely huge though! Make sure you get plenty of water in your system...especially the day before nats starts because when you get out in that heat for 12 hours it will be a hell of a shock to your body if you haven't been hydrating yourself for at least 24 hours. Good luck and have fun! See you there.
  20. 100 times you really have nothing to worry about....once you add on a few (yes a few) zeroes to that number is when things get interesting.
