  1. I called Clark and they told me to email their revolver smith. I did and I haven't heard anything back. Mojo, TK custom I tried a bunch of folks. When I was younger I always wanted one and now all these smiths that do PPC are dying or retiring. I should go get my prostate checked.
  2. This is a damn shame. If only primer manufacturing was easy to get into. There would probably be more primer manufacturers than crappy vape stores
  3. I called around and asked, most folks that could do this either retired or are not interest but mostly retired. Are the new Pythons good is slow DA target shooting?
  4. Not that I am that good of a shot to be able to tell but are the 38 special chambered model 10 K frames capable of smaller groups compared to 357 chambered N frames? Shooting 38 special wad cutters that is.
  5. I see. Im trying to build a PPC gun on an N frame as my weekend relaxation gun and Im not sure that any were ever built on N frames.
  6. And N frames? Too big and 2 holes too many?
  7. Hey folks I can undersatand why N frames are popular. 8 shots pew pew pew lots of fun. Why were the old accuracy built revolvers for PPC built on K frames?
  8. I use one shot on about 200 cases and mix them in with about 800 unlubed cases. The 200 cases leave enough lube to make the sizing and expanding easy enough.
  9. Thank you. I found several but this one says CYL is it for recover cylinder? 513-051-220MB RIMFIRE CARTRIDGE, .22 LONG RIFLE FINISHER (CYL) Mfr Part: F22LRC
  10. I have an old dan wesson revolver that is in .22 rimfire. The cases always get stuck and the chambers look atrocious. Is there a tool that I can use to clean the chambers up? Also is there a service manual? My extractor seems to keep coming loose.
  11. Ordered a new upgrade kit for it for the powder throw. Ordered a shell plate too. Loose/poorly aligned pawl that pushes the plate forwared chewed up the inside of the shell plate and now it snaps instead of advancing. Dont need my powder spilled.
  12. Also are quick change mounts from inline fab sturdy enough for SDB? (Im thinking flushmount)
  13. Alright I am probably going to sound stupid. I want to do this myself. I enjoy messing with things fixing things up or just taking them apart and messing with them. Due to work and school I am kinda stuck home right now, so I will have something to do at home.
  14. I just scored a 1986 dillon SDB for 10 bucks at a scrap yard still in original box. What do I need to upgrade in it to make it run what should I replace? looks like it wasnt used much but age along might dictate a replacement of bearings?
  15. has to be sandblasted with a very specific media type
  16. Yeah my dillon is from the early 90s I think, Still going strong after a trip to Dillon.
  17. did they tweak the formula?
  18. Called dillon they said it should not affect the function but offered to send a new one out. I already ordered one so i declined. I checked my primer slide cup/pin/spring assembly and it was too long, the set screw was basically loose, made it proper length. I am now trying to sort out the plate popping/jumping at the last 1/4 of upstroke. It looks like the metal arm that pushes on the metal shell plate pushes inside the plate instead of pushing it out and it seems that is where the snag and sudden jump in my plate happens. pic:
  19. Om having rough indexing and sideways primer issue with my SDB. Took my shell plate off and found this. That is a very deep groove worn where the index bolt sits. Bottom of the holes where the primer cup goes looks damaged too.
  20. Im thinking of upgrading from SDB. Whats a fair market value for an sdb with all the acessories 9mm and 38 conversion strong mount bullet tray additional head for dies and tool stand and spare parts kit? Im thinking of selling so I can get a case feeder and a bullet feeder for a 750.
  21. Sadly I am just a common peasant with an SDB Honestly even if there was a better powder than S1000 it is a matter of convenience, it works great for me and I already have everything set up for it just shove the components in.
  22. Alliant sport pistol does the trick for me. Used to be solo 1000 but thats unobtanium now.
  23. So because I had 1500 remington small pistol primers I loaded some up in my usuall 38 special load with solo 1000. Had to get a new strain screw new main spring and return spring to get the balance right. So now my trigger pull is at 7.6 pounds vs 6 pounds for federal primers. So now I have a dedicated spring set for federal primers and one for "hard" primers. I also have been keeping track of my round count and cleanings. I can get up to about 1200 rounds before I get ignition problems due to soot and crud buildup under the extractor star and the back of the cylinder crud and crap. For those of us who are godless barbarians who do not clean our revolvers how long can you go before problems crop up?
