  1. I use Frog Lube on all my guns. Has worked the best and my guns are all minty fresh. I also use it so I don't expose my daughter to more nasty chemicals than needed.
  2. Yeah. Now that you mention it I think i remember trying to order something else direct and my CC not wanting to do it. Ended up using paypal i think.
  3. Hey are a little loose. I emailed them (DAA) and they said they would send me Glock size shims for free.
  4. I shot one for a little in Idpa. If memory serves it is only legal in ESP.
  5. IMHO It seems more like a matter or "feel" than function. I personally don't care for them as I had one fall apart in the middle of a match and I couldn't get it to run without taking the slide off. After that I started to run without one and discovered that recoil felt better and less "bouncy" to me. I run a 12.5 lb spring 175PF.
  6. Here it is. Warning. Bad Language. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyDvGxJ0TIc
  7. Pulp Fiction when he accidentally blows the guys head off in the back seat when they hit a bump.
  8. Welcome to the forum. You came the the right place
  9. I have had this issue before and as others have suggested the trigger bow was rubbing against magazine. Good luck.
  10. As far as I know the zombie and tactical will shoot the same, just dire rant color. I have owned the m2, versa max, versa max tactical, I sold my m2 because I like the tactical better. It shoots softer with all kinds of loads. In my opinion it shoots the light loads a little lighter but the heavy loads way lighter. Also very reliable.
  11. Yeah I just had my 650 rebuilt since I was in Phoenix anyway. About 2 weeks and it looks brand new. They replaced a bunch of stuff. Well worth money.
  12. I have had a 650 for more than 12 year. It has more than 100k run through it between my and my fiends. It has had some parts break and wear out but given the amount of use it seems reasonable. Dillon took care of me every time, even overnighting a small part before a big match. Even with small issues here and there over the years I wouldn't think of owning another brand. They are just the best, IMHO

    Glock maintenance

Glock maintenance is almost an oxymoron Seriously though. I have removed it (the glock grease) and left it on and haven't noticed any difference. I use a minimal amount of Frog Lube and then wipe it out with a paper towel about every 6k. Before that if it seems like its getting a little to dry ill add a little more.

    Recoil springs

I switched from Wolf to ISMI almost 2 years ago. I like the ISMI a little better. It seems to just "feel" better. Also the ISMI last more than 2 times longer before I change them.
  15. Wow. Glad you and yours are ok. I have never heard of anything like that happening. And to top it off it was a hopper full of tighgroup
  16. Does it happen with every mag or just one in particular? I know it may be hard to tell this if it only happens occasionally but try numbering them and see if you can establish a pattern. Also i would take a close look at it and see if the mag release is resetting all the way. Try to make it do it and when you succeed, look at why that worked. Not sure if this helps or not but good luck.
  17. That's funny. Sounds like a good day to really deep clean the house
  18. I have only had the Dillon 650 but couldn't emagin there being anything better. Except maybe a 1050 . Everyone I know who has started with another brand has eventually ended up with a Dillon.
  19. I have never used those but they look like they would work. Nothing wrong with angled pouches but some stages require going prone and etc. It kind of depends on what total setup you want to have and how into 3 gun you are. I have the safariland ELS and that is very popular with the quick detach mag pouches etc. It helps you focus more on stages and shooting than switching out your belt and pouches all the time. That said I used my IDPA bladetech just fine for the first couple years. If i was buying all new stuff I would just go for the hole ELS setup from the start.
  20. Oops. Also About 30 min for AR 5 min for glocks 15 min on 1911/ 2011 And I don't clean every time I shoot.
  21. I used to be a lot more obsessive about cleaning and then after reading lots of "data" that cleaning the barrels is more damaging than shooting them I relaxed that a lot. Now I wipe out the powder fouling and gunk with a paper towel and then I run a bore snake through the barrel a couple times. If I notice some spots that are not wiping off I may use a brush on stubborn areas. I also now use plant based cleaners and lube (frog lube etc) now that my 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son shoot with me. During this time I also visually inspect the gun for issues. About twice a year, or before if I notice it needs it during my routine cleaning, I'll do a complete take down and do an extra good job depending on how much that particular gun gets shot. Log story short I don't spend a lot of time on cleaning but I pay close attention to them and give them no more attention than I think they need
  22. Since reading this thried I have tried opening up and not shooting so conservatively. At first I tried just shooting for time, but admittedly found it very hard to not try to get good hits too. When I got the feel for that I did everything else just as fast but shot a little slower, also incorporating more visualization. As a result I really imploded my stage time and HF and have won overall production the last seven matches here in Tucson and at Tuesday night steel at Rio Salado. My classifiers also went from about 75% ish to above 80%, my last one was 89%. I was at the stage of my shooting where this is exactly what I needed. I really recommend people give this a try and hopefully it will make as big difference for you too .
