Just give me a fun and challenging stage. I don't care what you call it, call it stage 1 and I'm happy. No theme, no fancy names are necessary just a fun stage with LOTS of targets.

The extractor claw is bigger. It was designed to fix a none existent problem.

Bruce hit the nail right on the head, as long as there is monitary incentive to cheet you will always have this problem... IMHO Trophies and ribbons would eliminate a lot of sand bagging or as Bruce put it "classifier management"..

I Know that in many of the shooting disciplines if you shoot more then two classes above your class you are automatically re-classed. So if a "B" shooter went to the nationals and was shooting Master class scores he would be re-classed after the match. before the awards are awared. I believe that every dog has his day, but with the number of stages and shots fired at level II and III matches that the only dog you will find shooting two classes above is going to be full of sand.

Right on Shooter Grrl. The best bet is to leave the games to X-BOX or Sony Playstation, because games are hell on computers. Eight years ago I stopped all games from being loaded on the home computers. If the kids or myself wanted a game you bought it for the Playstation. Ever since then (I've lost count of the number of computers I've owned) I have been trouble free. Games on computers are EEeeeevil.

I think we all have seen and know who the sandbaggers are. In my neck of the woods we have a shooter who consistently shoots in the 75% range on most all of the stages except the classifier, 50-55% would be a high classifier, and if we have a special classifier match in the area you can bet this person won't be there. So what do you do to the few that abuse the system? DOG them, SHAME them, what ever it takes, it's our sport. Just my 2 cents worth.

Right on!! Uncle Bill, that sounds a little stuffy to me. The matches here in the NorthWest that I attend is done by a shuffle and a pull by one of the shooter to see who goes first. We call it "Pick a friend" and were off and running.

A Drafting chair works great for me. I don't like standing in one spot for any length of time.

Well I bought my Kimber back in 1997 or 1998 it was one of the first Custom Classic models, it's Stamped Made in Clackamas Oregon. I now have over 20,000 rounds through it. In 20,000 rounds I can count the number of times that It has failed on a couple of fingers, except during load development (it doesn't like 200 gr plated SWC made by West Coast Bullets). All I have ever done to it was replace my 16 lb Recoil spring with a 12 lb and replace the 21 lb. main spring with a 17 lb. It still groups better at 25yrds then I can shoot it. I love it and wouldn't part with it. Steve

I have Kimber Custom Classic with over 20,000 rds of 200gr SWC fired through it. Most of them are Laser Cast about 90%, and have had 1 jam using them. Now the west coast 200gr SWC plated thats a different story, a 1 in 10 was common no mater how I loaded them. Run-n-Gun a member of this board and my shooting bud bought a 1000 in hopes of finding the magic length and never did. I load my Laser Cast to 1.245 and they run like the wind. Steve

Which brand of SWC are you using. The reason I ask is everybody at my club that has a Kimber can not shoot the West Coast 200 gr SWC. That's about Six kimbers that won't digest them. Shipster

Well mine is pretty easy I've played sports all my life and my last name is Shippey and "Shipster" or "The Shipster" has followed me ever since High School, over 25 years now. Holey Crap I'm getting Old...errrr..I mean middle aged.

walangkatapat, both Run-n-Gun and myself shot the match. It was a very fun match, with 8 stages, the weather was perfect, all 100 shooting positions were filled, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. Mike had one stage called the stars are out which had 3 Texas stars in it. One was activated with a activator box and was spinning before engagement. That was the first match that I had shot with a Texas star and it showed. I'll be back next year. Shipster

Tri County and DunDee have done it several time here in area 1 check this Link it is our area 1 Columbia Cascade section Championships.
