The serrations on top look like you should be able to get a nice purchase on the slide if needed.

I just purchased a M&P pro. The pistol came with a 10-8 rear sight and is using the stock rear sight. I'm trying to determine if anyone else is running this set up and what their pros and cons of that sight set is.

Nick. I definitely know what spring you are talking about. I actually used a little slide glide to keep the spring in place.

I decided to dive into changing out the hammer spring in my GP 6 today. Everything came apart easy and went back together easy. I'm having a issue with the hammer not coming all the way back during DA pull and hammer will only go to half cock unless I pull the hammer all the way back. Needless to say, I'm just a little confused as far as what's going on here. Any help would be appreciated.

@ SBR. Maybe it's just the photo, did you get a little too deep on the slide cuts? It looks like you can see the recoil spring.

I just shot a level 2 match yesterday and came in at 39.6 with my STI Trojan chambered in 40 S&W. The only thing I have done to lighten the pistol is a aluminum mainspring housing.

You have to remove the interrupter.

In my opinion. Anything would be better than what is on it now. I think I may have the rear sight duracoated. Not sure yet.

I am actually wanting to put that rear sight on a baby eagle. I know I would have to have the slide welded and milled. Just looking for something super low profile and adjustable, the 5.25 rear sight seems to fit the bill.
